How do you guys know what it got matched at. I can only see 15/2.
Report JJMSports May 31, 2010 2:02 PM BST
Last price matched was 19.0

25.0 was before he won the RacingPost Trophy A_T
Report downallstar May 31, 2010 2:04 PM BST

Hey this is a special 'watch it drift' thread
almost there!
Report Extreme Conviction May 31, 2010 3:00 PM BST
Just asked for £15 @ 14/1 on the place market, and got matched straight away, got be a nr
Report sewage May 31, 2010 3:19 PM BST
Its 3.20pm now - he's been matched at 21 for the win, 15s for the place - I backed him at around 8/1 a couple of days ago, thought I'd got a brilliant price. Shows what I know...
Report sintonian May 31, 2010 3:22 PM BST
I reckon they have known all along.

Since his Guineas run they have just been peddling the same crap.

Cynical I know but they have handled this appalingly.
Report vinnie_roe May 31, 2010 3:27 PM BST
I wonder if we will ever see this horse race again?
Report kirk st. moritz May 31, 2010 3:29 PM BST
Lets hope they get what they deserve and dont win a Classic this year ... lots of darts no class, in any respect.
Report sewage May 31, 2010 3:31 PM BST
I'll bet if you traced all this lay money, it's ALL coming from Tipperary. This sport has become a f*!king joke...
Report kirk st. moritz May 31, 2010 3:33 PM BST
You could tell when the money was getting heavier on Bullet Train .. think someone was covering their positions on Jan Vermeer myself.
Report Soap May 31, 2010 3:33 PM BST
Come on guys - nayone who has placed a bet in the last week as done at over inflated price due to the doubts / rumours.

Surely anyone who has backed at them sort of odds cannot genuinly feel aggrieved as the price of a NR is factored into the price.
Report jair1970 May 31, 2010 3:54 PM BST
I give it a month before the sad news that he's not trained on... sorry, had a 'career ending injury'...
Report vinnie_roe May 31, 2010 4:03 PM BST
Think of it like this... he's the highest rated 2yo last year, and he's got a very attractive pedigree. If he was retired now, he would make it as a stallion, possibly for a nomination fee of 20k. If he was to bomb out again, then retired, it would be very difficult to market this colt to the breeder. John magner will be the one to decide what happens with this horse.
Report fuzzyone May 31, 2010 4:09 PM BST
Spot on ^^^, Prima Donna got it right. Horse hasnt trained on as much as they had hoped. People castigated Bolger for Teofilio, this is as bad imo.
Report A_T May 31, 2010 4:21 PM BST
they must have seen something to run it in the Guineas - or maybe they just hoped the home work was wrong and it would show up for the races.
Report Graeme83 May 31, 2010 4:28 PM BST
Perhaps it picked up an injury at the guineas, and they kept schtum about it.
Report JJMSports May 31, 2010 5:43 PM BST
I doubt he will run, why risk the stud fees? Coolmore runs Ballydoyle, not the other way round.
Report Prima Donna May 31, 2010 5:48 PM BST
I don't know how much you all think he would command at stud? imo if he is finished he if he stands at Coolmore Ireland he will only have limited appeal the most I reckon he would be is 10/15k,but more likely they would send him to Aus/NZ Montjeu has done well down under he will hold more appeal to those breeders than over here and can stand him for a higher fee.
