After having a closer look at this race,i think
Cairnsmore will turn around the form with SL on this track despite being a 1lb worse off.Gluckers [:p] |

By:
Tough race to call, can see why SL is so popular, prob a no bet for me, though I do like Alabqaa.

Always a race I like, and this year I think one stands out like a morning glory.
Sweet Lightning has always hovered around the high 80s and run in decent handicaps and really should have won at Glorious Goodwood last year after a shocking ride by Dwyer. A change of stable close season to the red hot Dods yard seems to have done him good based on his cosy Chester win and he might now be fulfilling his potential. The win will have done him the world of good, and 3lb is the minimum rise he could have expected. Filthy's beast Forte Del Marmi will be all the rage in the market, and has to be a danger - but I thought he wanted a drop back in trip after looking oustayed at york after travelling like a dream. Id not want to trust Guilambert to get it right from a tricky draw also. Of the others, Cairnsmore will probably make it, but i think was flattered at Chepstow with Frankie giving it a perfect front running ride- and sweet hold his on Chester form 5points win Sweet Lightning 4/1 or better (my point is about a fiver at present) |

Going against fav backers here [;)] and joining T2F with the outsider.
SL is not a horse I trust and despite confidence in the excellent trainer getting the best out of him, at 4/1 I can leave. Daawitza is 20/1 (25's if you can bet with stan) but has excellent course form, has decent form when backing up within a week and conmditions lok ideal today. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced imho. |

I bet Forte Dei Marmi at York last time and the horse was disappointing.
Below from Luca Cumani website: “It has crossed our minds that Forte Dei Marmi perhaps didn’t stay ten furlongs at York last time in what was a well run race as well as we’d hoped. It might be that he will come back to a mile in time.” Think I will leave race alone. |

Daawitza & Spanish Bounty, both 20s, double of the day imo.

Was Forte Dei Marmi's last race not a pretty good one?
This looks a lesser standard to me. |
|
By:
Agree Jair, but not sure it stays tbh.
|
|
By:
FDM did go up 12lbs going into that last run, dropped 1lbs since. Ground may be too quick for him, and may still be a few lbs too high. Trainer and jockey have a very good P/l this season though.
|
|
By:
Maybe, but we're back half a furlong here and he went pretty deep into that last race.

On Cumani website it says he was going to run Luc Jordon if it looked a staying race and FDM if not |

Belmez - Hanagan is at Carlisle because of their 2yo in the first. One of Fahey's better ones by all accounts.
|
|
By:
like Sweet Lightning here too, Follow The Flag and Albaqaa the dangers

one of his better ones starting in a class 5 at carlisle?
|

By:
120k foal.. quote from Fahey (courtesy of Taplin 2yo book):" a lovely filly, I like her and she's one of my nicest. She's got natural ability, she's breezed well and worked a couple of times. So despite being by Pivotal she could be out sooner than you think. If I have a really good 2yo this could be the one."
