I suspect that Lillie Langtry will need to improve a few pounds on that excellent reappearance effort in the Irish Guineas if she's to win the Coronation Stakes. She may well be capable of making the necessary improvement, but there are several more highly rated fillies that I would prefer to Lillie Langtry at this stage, namely Special Duty (reportedly a doubtful runner), Jacqueline Quest, Joanna, Rosanara, Lady Of The Desert and Evading Tempete.

There are 4 fillies that finished in front of LL in the guineas that could all improve. Improvement is not the sole domain of Aiden O'Brien. Starting to get on my nerves a bit is that.

The winner had only had its 4th run and won it. That's the one I'm more interested in.

Really love this filly. Fine effort in the Guineas on her return from injury and she’ll head to Royal Ascot with a massive chance of a richly deserved Group 1 success. I reckon she looks short of being a GR1 winner, all the talking will not get her head in front on the line, stable not noted for filly's,she may be a GR filly but not GR1. |

Every O'Brien horse is a star according to Soldier - either he has a crush on Aidan or it is O'Brien posting himself ,imo.
As for Lillie , it really is a bad year if she's good enough to win at Gr 1 level. |

Brodie, The Coronation Stakes is an early closing race and the Irish Guineas winner Bethrah and runner-up Anna Salai are not entered. Lillie Langtry was having her first run back after her knee injury at the Breeders' Cup meeting and can be expected to improve for that reappearance run in the Guineas. Even so, I still prefer several other fillies ahead of Lillie Langtry at this stage - it all depends on which ones turn up for the race.

Stan2,Listen I understand.........thing is does Soldieroffortune,when it comes to the O'Brien horses?

jamesp - supplementary stage on 12th June?
I thought I read that Bethrah has this race as her target. |

Yep - don't think Hamdan or God will be bothered by a few pennies to sup their two in. The moral winner of the Irish 1000 was clearly Anna Salai. If she'd been where Lillie was after three furlongs she'd have won cosy. Those girls flying home late were flattered imo.

What The Headmaster said. Precisely.

I stand corrected (I didn't think there was a supplementary entry stage for the Coronation). If Anna Salai is a likely runner I'll add her to my shortlist.

James surely jaquilene quest is overrated by at least 10 lbs?

Truly superb performance from a filly of the highest quality. She sparkled today both on and off the racetrack and it%u2019s a richly deserved Group 1 success for Lilly Langtry.
In every way imaginable she is a truly beautiful racehorse ![]() |

Great work sof and rhinestone
![]() Really nice filly, she'll not beat Special Duty if they go for the Falmouth though imo ;) . Aiden mentioned the Nassau however which may be interesting. Jmc, it's rubbish but point it out before the race, ta. |

![]() Hope you had your 33/1 Purple Moon e-way? I made a right mess of the Gold Cup . Took 55's for the winner for Melbourne though so not too disheartened. ![]() |

Jmc, it's rubbish but point it out before the race, ta. What are you on about how does it make any difference when I say it ffs its a general comment he has made and the thread was bumped up yesterday evening! Last I checked this is a public forum and you werent a moderator on here so please dont try to acting like one! |

Just felt there was no reason to express it like that but not my problem tbh.
Had a small bit of each way but mostly bet in the win generally rhinestone, happy to see him run well though and reverse the Manifest form as I thought. ROP could well be nailed on for Melbourne Cup, depends what Weld wants to do with his mare.. |

jmc27,
Thanks for pointing out that I said 'stable not noted for filly's'.Well of course I know they can and do train some good fillys what I meant is that Ballydoyle are well know for producing colts that go on to be stallions as you know, the no1 priority with them is not fillys but they can train them,as for Lilly Langtry I don't think it was the strongest Coronation but we shall see just how good she is later on. |
