Always Waining - Won at the last 2 Grand National meetings including over the National Fences at this year's meeting when outstaying the field. Trainer's stated aim for the horse in 2011 is the National, which he (the trainers) has place form in. The trainer's website also states that he is desperate to win the National. 50/1 at the bookies, bigger on here. Thank me next year!
Antoher one to back now at good odds is BecauseIcouldntsee. He ran a cracker in a distance race at Cheltenham with only 3 shoes on! Because he is much better left handed the trainer won't go for the Irish National so that problem is dealt with.
Glynn said: "He has come out of it OK. It was a shame about the shoe, he's a big horse and it was not the best thing to do.
"If I had been able to get down to the start I think we would have been able to get it on. He might have been a bit geed-up, but he's a very easy horse to deal with. He still ran a blinder."
Although the seven-year-old won a modest beginners' chase by a distance at Fairyhouse in February, Glynn is not desperately keen to return there.
"He is a stone better going left-handed so we might well put him on hold this season and give him a couple of months off - although if something came up at Liverpool, we could still run him there," added Glynn, who trains at Ennis, County Clare.
"He would definitely be one for the National (Aintree) next year."

Re AW although his Topham win was encouraging there is no evidence as far as I can see that he stays beyond 3 miles and a fair bit to suggest he doesnt. I would like to see a strong showing in the Becher Chase before short-listing him.

He won over 3 miles twice (including once at Aintree) and 3m1f at Uttoxeter over hurdles. If he does do well in the Becher Chase he will be about 16/1 rather than the 50/1 he is at the moment.

always waining gave me my biggest win of the jumps season...and i suspect a few of the lads on here... 2 points.. 1. denman running could mess things up...with untold out of the h/cap including AW. 2.dont expect a big run in the beecher..unless there is freakishly fast ground for that time of yr.
also..not sure what his mark is now...but dont be suprised to see him win again over the summer to get up another few pounds.
