[smiley:crazy]lets face it after the exploits of sea the stars last year this years flat season so far has been a bit of a damp squib. but one of the horses who can put it right tommorow is this beautifully bred son of footstepsinthesand. hes the apple of soldier of fortuneLaugh (sorry aiden o briens) eye[;)]

to be honest nothing in the english 2000 impressed me that much and god knows how anyone picked out the winner. if steinbeck is the horse they think he is i think he'll trounce this lot comfortably.Love

D1ck Turpin went some way to franking the form in the French version though. Steinbeck wasn't ahead of these last year and he's not had a prep either.

This colt has it all to prove this weekend, dont care what you all say he only has modest form, his pedigree is good but not fantastic,I reckon you will all be disappointed. If its firm you wont see him out for a while after. But Ballydoyle can set this race up for him if they want to see him win,I will be there to watch.

Might be a bit to early to slag off this years 2000gns. The winner is unbeaten and, like it or not, bolted up. Came from further back than C Cliffs and D Turpin. Early days to start slagging off just because you didn't back it.

Was clearly the horse to take from the Dewhurst, that race looked decent miler form based on the Guineas result.

Hoping Fencing Master can improve for his last run, Ladbrs very generous in offering 33-1 for the IRISH 2000g ANTI POST.

I have backed Steinbeck too. I am Canford Cliffs biggest fan and have defended him on here many times but I can't have him on fast ground. In my opinion his run at Newbury when he hung was due to the ground.
Of the other favourites the pedigree of Steinbeck best suits fast ground and his form stands up for me. Coolmore will surely have him and FM ready and I prefer Steinbeck. If it rains I'm knackd though Laugh

Won't win imho.
Maiden winner(ok, also 4th in a G1), First time out this season, only ever had two career starts, never won over 7 or 8f. More Ballydoyle hype.

i think CC has a chance if he settles, pulled very hard in the early stages of the 2000G, and was only given 3 slaps of the whip at the business end of the race.
