I like Green Moon in that 2.30 at Newbury. I know he has got to step up on that maiden win, but he could hardly have won any easier and is also bred to excel over middle distances this year. I think an opening mark of 82 underestimates him, though he will undoubtedly prove even better over a couple of furlongs extra in time; hoping for a truly run race tomorrow to help in that respect.
Klammer is a colt I am keen to see out again in the 4.00 at Newmarket after his debut victory at Newbury last month, running green and needed niggling along from a long way out before getting the idea close home and nabbing Hannon's well touted favourite close home. The extra furlong can only help his cause here, and he could well be Coventry Stakes bound if winning well tomorrow. One other that will be carrying my money tomorrow is Abrasive in the first at Newbury. He is a full brother to Mount Nelson, and a half brother Monitor Closely who is thought a fair bit of by William Haggas and has just been too backward/immature to make the track until now. It looks a sub-standard renewal of what is usually a fair maiden, and I think he can take advantage and make a winning debut. ![]()

Nice write up Cream,good luck [;)]

TD, easily Elzaam yesterday at York, and I believe that to have been the best 2yo maiden run so far this year, though I guess only time will tell (Fahey's runner up and the Cole horse in sixth also looked potentially useful sorts).
Both Elzaam and Klammer are on my Coventry Stakes shortlist as things stand. Mind you, Strong Suit didn't look a bad prospect at Newbury today!
|
By:
Laying Paco E/W
Form still says he is best at 7. Last two he's beaten at a mile are Pressing and a horse now running over hurdles.
|
By:
yeah thought you might say Elzaam!
7/1 for the Coventry. | ||||||||||||
