A fine performance there today from Cape Blanco gents in what was an excellent Dante. The way he quickened up when asked and then stayed on at the finish was very impressive. He put in a good time there when you look at it against the earlier race on the card, and an impressive show on the clock is always a good thing to see in these trials. He'll also come on a fair bit for that run today.
He’s an intriguing horse on breeding Cape Blanco, by Galileo out of basically a mare who was a sprinter. He looks to have his father’s stamina but it’s clear that he has a real turn of foot as he showed today and also in his 2YO career when from his debut it became clear he was a superb prospect. There’s no doubt at all in my mind that he’ll get the trip at Epsom and he’ll go there with a massive chance. Gents if you take a look at the Dante field today they were all decent colts in their own right but Cape Blanco shone, not only in the way he won it but also the way he looked and how he handled the occasion. He really is a beautiful looking individual, a fine athletic type of colt like his father and if he can stay fit and sound he might just turn out to be a real superstar. |

evening soldier.
any news on his injury at all ? |

Evening TDG, hope all is well my friend.
He did catch the same part of his heel that he banged the other day and he's aggravated it. No doubt he'll have an easy time of it for a while now and the next few days will be key for him. He's a lovely colt Cape Blanco and I hope he makes it there. Be good to see either Kieren or Seamus on board too at Epsom - Seamus rode him on his debut at Fairyhouse and I know he was impressed with him that day. |

You have to wonder if SOF tries to look like O'Brien, and tries to convince people he's actually him. Every time he talks, drunken villagers go behind his back when he's talking and mime the words 'listen' and 'do you understand'.
