Because he's a certainty. Cape Blanco blows a few out the water and Murtagh is then interviewed saying if St Nick turns up in the form he's capable of the others are running for places...

Seriously...I'm tied up nicely in 4-1 St Nick and was a bit uneasy watching Cape Blanco stroll home...5 mins later Murtagh saying Cape B may not stay and St Nicks the number one and between the lines the rest shouldnt bother turning up

Charlton, If you're saying everybody is following like sheep, fair enough.
But considering the way SNAs stock fell after the Guineas that's a very unguarded comment for a jockey as experienced as Murtagh to make. |

Someone I know overheard Murtagh in conversation at Newmarket, telling anyone and everyone to get on 6/4.

Did anyone see today's ATR after the Perth racing meeting. They did a qk review of today's racing claiming, they put it UP on-screen, St Nicholas Abbey "7/2" for the Derby......
He's not near it. I've looked now, he's 5/2 on some, but most give 2s or 9/4. |
