No bet - just hoping Paco lags up
By:
I think the value lies outwith paco Boy at those sort of prices.
By:
If Paco hadn't got beat in this last year i'd say he would be a big back at the prices given his Sandown romp. That run does play on my mind though, despite his obvious class
Reckon Lord Shanakill might be worth an e/w poke |
By:
Avoiding,gash imo

By:
place layed him last year and got away with it because of the ground
small field , good ground, one winner |
By:
will we get bigger than evens ? am very tempted to have a few £££ on paco, not enough rain about to really soften it up looking at the forecasts
By:
if you bet AP with Paddy Power, beware of the place terms chaps - e/w 1st and 2nd only. How can they justify this if 8 or more runners go to post is beyond me and a bit of an outrage if you ask me.
By:
Well spotted Johnny. Fake irish bastarts that they are. Straight into my black book with them. Two places is a scandal.
By:
If 8 runners go to post they pay 1,2,3 e/w
By:
the cheka e/w at 25/1 is a great bet imo

By:
Pipedreamer @ 16/1 with the Nanny for me.

It can't be a runner at that price surely ?
By:
To be fair that was the price I thought it would be - I think the other bookies are just a bit too short - will definitely go off in double figures if it runs.
By:
Does Zacinto definitely run in this?

RECENT/PAST FORM 10 of 10 winners won over a mile or further 8 of 10 winners had won a Group 1 or 2 (both exceptions had finished 2nd in a Group 1 or 2) 7 of 10 winners were having their first run of the season (2 of 3 exceptions had their first run of the season at the Dubai Spring Carnival) 10 of 10 winners were having their first run in the race 9 of 10 winners were having their first course start (exception had won on only previous run at Newbury) 10 of 10 winners were officially rated 113 or higher OTHER RACES Ben Marshall Stakes winner (Prince Of Dance): 1 (1-0-1) Prix Jean Prat winner (Lord Shanakill): 3 (0-1-1) Jersey Stakes winner (Ouqba): 530 (0-1-3) Bet365 Mile winner (Paco Boy): 3553654 (0-1-7) Gladness Stakes winner (Kargali): 7 (0-0-1) Celebration Mile winner (Zacinto): 46 (0-0-2) Record of horses who ran in the previous year's race: 679653366 (0-1-9) 4 of 10 winners ran in the previous season's St James Palace, finishing 2366 4 of 10 winners ran in the previous season's QEII Stakes, finishing 4221 2 of 10 winners ran in the previous season's Sussex Stakes, finishing 13 2 of 10 winners ran in the previous season's Eclipse Stakes, finishing 18 2 of 10 winners ran in the previous season's French 2000 Guineas, finishing 52 2 of 10 winners ran in the previous season's Newmarket Champion Stakes, finishing 54 2 of 10 winners ran in the previous season's Leopardstown Champion Stakes, finishing 25 TRAINERS Michael Stoute (3-0-9) has trained the winner 3 times in the past 10 years. Saeed Bin Suroor (2-3-11) has saddled 2 winners and 3 placed runners in the past decade, including the winner in 2008 and the runner-up in 2009 but will not have a runner in the race this year. Henry Cecil (0-2-2) has saddled 2 runners in the past decade, 2nd in 2008 and 3rd in 2009. PRICE 10 of 10 winners were priced 9/1 or below and came from the first 4 in the betting. Not a race to be looking for a big outsider with the last 10 winners going off at single figure odds. Favourites (5-1-10) have won 5 of the last 10, giving a level stakes profit of 5.37. SUMMARY: Based on the trends from the past 10 years you are looking for a horse: • Aged 4 • Won over at least a mile • Won a group 1 or 2 • Having their first run in GB or Ire this season & first run in this race • Officially rated 113 or higher • From the first 4 in the betting (Fav does well) • Trained by Michael Stoute or Henry Cecil |

Cheers Lumberg.
Yaboya - going by the dec's (jockey declared) it would look like Zacinto runs. 3/1 looks big. |
By:
Grade 1 race... and the big three have not priced it up ...
disgraceful! |
By:
That's what i went for das. Doubled it up with a tactical bet with Workforce.
By:
Very poor field for a G1. But hopefully Zacinto will become a top horse for this year.
By:
Ladcrooks go 4/1 Zacinto, thanks very much.

By:
4/1 is big, best time to catch Stoute's older horses is first time up I find, he gets them ready and a line through Rip would suggest there is not a lot between him and Paco Boy (discounting wfa).
By:
Zacinto and Shanakill on the trends then.
Joining the e/w charge on the Lord. |
By:
stoutes misfiring at moment imo so wouldnt want to be taking those prices about zacinto

Paco Boy wins if at his best but I think there's a real danger he could bounce after his latest win so I'm laying at the short price.
By:
Or maybe not, terrific performance.
By:
that was superb.
Looked as tho Hughsie might be a tad overconfident but the way he quickend was stunning. |
By:
look forward to a rematch with rip van winkle and goldikova in the queen anne at royal ascot.
By:
Hope they get a run into Goldikova before ascot
