Main Aim - paper fav - does run well first time out... with positive bulletins from stable... also fav has won every two years (in the last 10 years) ... last two fav beaten so due win now. 5/2 not good value though so will take this one on...
Starspangledbanner... must be respected by stable who dont have that many sprinters remember US Ranger? interesting but too much weight.
Sayif - runs well first time out... vunreable to a lower weighted horse
Showcasing.. 3yr old with an age allowance... not many 3 year olds have run in this so difficult to assess... but you think that more experienced horses should get the better...
Prime Defender - beaten by INXILE but was a good run, ew shot
MullionMileAnhour - from a stable that have produced good 2 year old sprinters... like Kingsgate Native, but now 4, but still interesting, will make Equiano look like a good thing if he takes this. But has draw 12 - will be tough from there
Doncaster Rover - needed the run just behind Equiano and Mullionmile, but 3 times the price... reckon will be 10s on the day
Damien - was backed 2 runs ago down to 5/1 from double figure odds - had 8 months off so needed the run. Ran an eyecatching race against Markab... 25s is a decent price... as expect more improvement to come
Angelzarke - Some decent form 3rd againt Scenic Blast - but has never won at 6f... but Fahey string must be respected in a race like this. has not run at 6f for a couple of years will be interested to hear trainers comments on the day.
Judd Street - too old - nice draw though
Edge Closer - shown nothing last year... leap of faith required to back this
InXILE - Dandy said he would be sharp for his last run and duly obliged. It was first try over 6f and won. 12/1 decent price suprised if out of the top three
The three I like are Doncaster Rover 20/1 and Damien 25/1 and INXILE 12/1
I assume that SSB will roll forward and try to control the race. If he can sit up on the speed without doing to much work under the penalty he will take plenty of running down.
Is there likely to be much speed in the race?? I assume that SSB will roll forward and try to control the race. If he can sit up on the speed without doing to much work under the penalty he will take plenty of running down.
Really strange that Starspangledbanner is going for this rather than the Lockinge on Saturday.
He's shown that he stays every yard of a mile in the Caulfield Guineas, you'd think that he'd be more valuable to Coolmore as a G1 winning miler than he would be as a G1 winning sprinter. Although is that the case if he goes back to Australia to stud?
Haradasun went Lockinge then Queen Anne, though he had run in longer races down under. I could see this fella winning tomorrow, but hope he's well beaten. Rip Van Winkle gets bumped to the Prince of Wales in Royal Ascot and then the Queen Anne is there for the taking, just the little matter of Goldikova to overcome.
Decided to take a few quid at 34 on that happening anyway.
As for this race tomorrow, not decided yet.

Dad (oasis dream) was champion sprinter at 3 as fyi so would not dismiss just as 3 especially with huge weight allowance.

Sayif in G2 action at York Go Back SAYIF will take his seasonal bow tomorrow in the Group 2 Duke Of York Stakes at York.
Sayif - last week on the Limekilns
The son of Kheleyf has been pleasing in his homework ahead of his return and it looks as if there will be decent ground at the Knavesmire.
However, he has to carry a 3lb penalty for his Diadem Stakes win last September and the competition looks hot enough for the 12-runner contest.
Trainer Peter Chapple-Hyam said: "Sayif is in good form and I am looking forward to starting him off for the season. With it being his first run of the year, he is entitled to come on for it.
"I'm hoping he will run well but it looks a tough race and he has to give weight away to all bar one in the field."

He is probably better around a turn Mitchrich but he won't see one in the Uk so he better get used to it.
I doubt whether this bloke could see out a strong straight mile, especially uphill at Ascot with Goldikova coming at him, and the Jubilee just looks the perfect race for him.
Haradasun could get a strong mile even a mile and a quarter so was much better suited to the Queen Anne than this bloke.

Main Aim - I originally wanted to go against this one as 5/2 was not good value... but you have to take the 4s available now...
StarspangledBanner - still feel the weight will tell... think they want it ready for the Kings Stand... id rather back him for that than this. 12's at Corals
Of the others I still like my main three particularly INXILE nice weight, form and draw.. Will shoot off like a rocket.
