Early thoughts:
Nanton is a smashing horse, but perhaps not up to this level. Purple Moon hasn't won in his last ten starts, which must be a concern. Opinion Poll has a nice profile, but has to improve again to take this. Anything sent over by Dermot Weld has to be respected - Profound Beauty .
This race could go to Godolphin, Kite Wood was 5th in last year's Dante, but the one for me is Darley Sun , who will hopefully go off a decent price if he runs. He stays and stays, progressive type, and could be an Ascot gold cup horse IMO.

This looks a good race. Darley Sun for me too but I'd love to see Purple Moon show some signs of a revival, maybe they should threaten him with hurdles again
