Nibb, be careful on the trends for 3.55 - only became a class 2/opened up to horses rated higher than 95 for last 5 years. FWIW, Saucy Brown came out best on my trends
Backed Tinaar

Tinaar, Cutlass Bay and Blek. Happy days. Hoping Special Duty can win, we could do with a class horse going on from 2 to 3. Not to mention my AP bets :-)

Afternoon all. Just woken up after a night shift and watched the 1,000 Guineas. Huge decision by the stewards. Poor Henry - you could argue Midday was interfered with far more by Sariska in last year's Oaks yet didn't get that overturned.
Is Newmarket joining Ascot on the gaff tracks list?
Hope you're all well btw. Working solidly last few days which has kept me out of mischief.

WD winners today, and SD backers, BUT that decision was an absolute disgrace, very bad for racing!! Had no money on either, but the wrong horse won! Newmarket steward's hold your heads in shame! :(

I agree, das. Special Duty had every chance to get her head in front, and she didn't. Probably the only time I've been sad to see the bookies take a hammering.
OK, maybe not that upset :-)

I didn't have an interest in the race and whilst I can understand the decision to reverse the placings l thought they had to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the 2nd horse would have won the race but for said interference.
I have watched it back a few times and whilst there was a minor bump inside the last furlong, and JQ moved to her right there was also daylight between them as they went forward thereafter and I don't even believe there was an intimidation factor involved. Also at no stage did Pasquier have to stop riding, Special Duty still had every chance to go by the winner and in my view JQ simply wanted it more.
A disappointing end to an unsatisfactory race with the draw bias as well. Although I was touched by the poignant moment in the winner's circle when the "winner" nuzzled the owner on the face whilst he was sitting in his wheelchair. Pity about the ending.
I would like to echo those last few comments.I didn't have an interest in the race and whilst I can understand the decision to reverse the placings l thought they had to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the 2nd horse would have won the race but f
