good luck with this project.
By:
machine this fella i pray he stays well
By:
Needs to show us he is well before we talk about staying that way
By:
I know it's a leap of faith, I have twice before had antepost bets on this horse lost due to injury but he has so much talent I am taking one more chance on him at 12/1 for the Champion.
By:
It would be great if HF returns to his best at Punchestown this week. If he does the 12/1 won't last long thats for sure.
It's a risky bet this far out imo: Returning from injury, still not tested at Cheltenham, and Binocular was pretty special this year. Poor value for me. |
By:
I agree value isn't much, especially considering the horses injury record. But I'm a huge fan, and have only invested a point. I need to have my favourites, emotionally investing in some horses means alot to my enjoyment of racing.
Anyway, lets hope he runs a blinder and shows his true class at Punchestown. |
By:
12/1 is an awful price imo.
By:
I know what you mean CV. Aye, lets hope he runs well.
By:
Would struggle to get near a 100 % Binocular.
By:
How do you know that Gunny? We haven't seen the best of The Fly yet.
By:
Although he has been visually impressive, I'm sure his form quite stacks up as everyone first thought. The hype seems to be based mainly around his thrashings of Go Native but subsequent events have led me to believe that GN is a completely different horse on good ground.
No doubt HF is talented but even if we could sure he would turn up fit and well next March, he would still have a lot to prove imo. |
By:
Keep it at 1pt CV,i have a feeling we have a serious champion at the moment, and KK is pretty good too!!
By:
Pity Binocular didn't show his true colours in his first three runs last season, maybe we'd have won our WBX bet on the horse it was meant foir.
Go for the WBX bet again maybe? Binocular will certainly go for that bonus. |
By:
but he has so much talent
No evidence of this at all CV. Not even rated in the top 10 against this lot. Along with Dunguib, a place lay. |
By:
Worse legs than Duggie Bader. I was on for lumps at 10/1 for the Champion and like a pillock didn't lay off. Will hose up this week I think. Weren't they going to enter it for a Group 1 on the flat last year?
By:
There's plenty of evidence that he has loads of talent.
By:
A good horse but won't get within 10 lengths of Binocular now he's been sorted out. IMO
I think Khyber Kim is a very serious horse now tbh and Hurricane Fly will do well to come 2nd next year. |
By:
Punjabi could still be interesting in Punchestown race.
By:
Surely him being by Montjeu is a negative as;
a) temperament problems? b) Yet to sire a winner at Cheltenham still i believe, they just don't seem to get up the hill, another shortie was turned over last week - monetary fund. |
By:
Dont think there is any doubts about his talent, but major doubts about his soundness, which is a real shame.Would be great if they could get him back,so he could prove one way or the other whether he is as good as a lot think he is.
By:
12/1 to turn up
By:
here we go CV. :)
By:
No matter what Hurricane does today, after seeing the transformed Binocular, who left me massively deflated after last years CHurdle though not a backer as I missed the price but thought he was the business, deliver after a full body massage in Ireland the week before the race, you would have to be a mentalist to have a decent bet on a Montjeu to have the attitude and speed to beat him or Khyber Kim next season.
By:
Will Dunguib be a smart@rse going around the outside today, think not but his jumping on this ground will be v interesting.
By:
10s Dunguib being offered before the Supreme for Dunguib not looking good is it.
By:
:)
By:
Thousandstars totally trashes that form today.
By:
first three pulled a long way clear - great effort by Thousand Stars too.
Dunguib bubble burst |
By:
Hurricane struggled to beat Solwhit on fast ground .. in to 6s the CHurdle ... mmmm.
Maybe if Binocular and Khyber dont make the gig. |
By:
Thousand stars must be improving. Only a 6 year old don't forget.
By:
Camel
By:
Well done CV but I think the hill might find him out in March
By:
Fly he unlike most Montjeu's, he sticks his head down low and goes for it, I can't see the hill being against him.
By:
he = is
By:
A pretty mean feat getting past an onsong Solwhit.
But, I stand by my earlier thoughts on this thread. |
By:
* no mean feat!
I know his breeding says the opposite, but he does stay well as well, won over 2m4f I think! |
By:
6s with the unsoundness and Willie Wontie factor ... oh dear never mind the hill, Binocular and Khyber.
By:
has absolutely zero chance imo
By:
Not sure how you can say that after a v impressive display after a long lay off - I know CH is a different game but who knows how much he had in hand today - could be a very good race if he and Binocular on song
