The BJ report

Unfortunately due to Smarty Socks' refusal to race even though all was in his favour and half of donny had backed him in to 14 from 22/1, means the BJ is postponed. I'd had a (very) large ew bet on him, as there were very few in that race who looked capable of winning, when we looked them over in the pre parade ring.
I had a change of mind for the listed race and backed Fanunalter having originally thought I'd be backing cloudy start. Cloudy start was really quite small in the pre parade ring and a bit woolly in his coat and looked as if he'd need the race, whilst fanunalter stood out a mile, gleaming in his coat but also every rib showing. I had a decent bet on him and fortunately it came off. Mia's boy looked well too but he wanted a little bit more cut.
In the two year old race there was an eye catcher in Ever Roses who was very green prior to and during the race, before getting the hang of things around the two pole and running on really well. she'll pick up a race soon.
It was a lovely evening and good fun taking the mickey out of the locals, it would be worth attending the freebie on the 30th if you haven't already been here.
