Sint ;)

Looking at Newbury - Hannon 2yo in the first obviously.
Admission in the 3.15, would prefer a different jock up :| But would accept 4/1.

He was impressive lto.

Pin landed on Ormello in the first at Chelts :| Will see what price he is first, double figs he's a small bet.

Think I'll just stick to the flat, had a few small bets at chelt past 2 days and no joy, doing ok on the flat though, touch wood.

The 14:10 at Newbury looks potentially a very hot race but High Constable is the one I'm most interested in if he is a fair e/w price tomorrow.

Woolcombe Folly shouldn't be losing the 2 mile novice chase at Cheltenham imo and even money seems pretty fair.

He was stone last in the Arkle though. How did he jump .. I was too busy watching SE.

Didn't jump brilliantly in the Arkle to be fair but he had only had one previous run over fences. A 5 runner race around Doncaster and then straight in to an Arkle is far from ideal. The Doncaster race showed that he's a little better than a handicapper though which to be honest is all the other 3 runners can be described as. I guess he will find jumping easier at this pace and McCoy on board can't be bad.

Possibly bounced a bit in the Arkle as well as the Donny win was off a 16 month break.

Ashkazar is worth 1 more chance imh.

Back to his correct distance and of this low a mark he ought to be winning a race like this.

If he bombs its off to the glue factory I suppose :p

Hindu Kush and Restless Harry appeal at this stage too.

dont mind if i barge in with a few.
Bleu Pois - 2.50 Ayr. 1st time in 2.5 years back on good ground over hurdles. Been carrying bigger weights on bad ground, and still fresh this season. Back to more suitable mark, Big chance imo back on favoured ground.
Skilback Jack - 3.40 Thirsk. Arguably better than lto reads, didnt get breaks, previously running as if step up will suit, and will be fit against horses making debuts. I expect he has a few pounds in hand off 74.

Agree Cashkazar surely bolts in back at his proper distance with Timmy back on urging him around.

My 1st play of the flat season tomorrow.

I strongly fancy Rasmy @ 5.3 in the 15:15. Was quite impressed at maiden win at Bath and think 10F will be perfect tomorrow and expect a win before moving on to better things.

Has entries in the classics and read in trainer interview that hes be one of the most foward of all their horses and has had very good winter.

2.10 Newbury - Am siding with the fav Rebel Soldier - has had a run 55 days ago, won very well, and that form has worked out well, the stable's 3yo's are going well this year, with 5 winners, 10 placed from 20 runners. Will probably add a saver on Mr Irons, prefer him to Oasis Dancer - stable form? And although High Constable's form looks good, he is too short for me, esp as the yard have only had a few runners this term.

The 3.10 looks a fasnicating race Soap.

Im not betting in it but will keep an eye on Tipperary Boutitque. She is from same stable as last years winner High Heeled and has a similar profile in that she finsihed behind a Guineas contender on racecourse debut. HH was second to Rainbow View on debut whilst Tipperary was 5th behind Seta, but beaten a similar distance. She has no Oaks entry at this stage but I dont think HH did either at the same time last year .. Cant quite remember.

morning all...holidays abandoned!

Does anyone give Bible Lord a big chance at Ayr today, first time he's had conditions in favour, mark is in favour and a lot of the field won't relish the quick surface? 20s seems a bit generous...I am wary of a King revival of Tarotino but he has looked a shadow of the horse he promised to be last term?

I was looking for you mate...just to say hi from the lane ;-)

it doesn't happen often but when it does then a little bit of gloating allowed....some goal from the youngster and a few extraordinary saves from Gomes....

Van Persie fit all year and you could have won the league eh

so, Paddy Brennan riding for the Champ ay....

two bets for me at chelts, Bothy and Ashkazar in the last. Followed Bothy all season still think Cheltenham will suit his style of running and the smaller field will help. One last chance for Ashkazar today with Timmy back on board.

I am going to be boring and say I am with Bullet Train in the 3.15 today at Newbury. The way he travelled and then battled on when joined by the Godolphin horse on debut marked him down as a very nice sort indeed, and it's exciting to think he's bred to excel over middle distances this year. Admission has a recent run to call on, while Rasmy and Tipperary Boutique both looked nice middle distance prospects last year, but Bullet Train must surely go well here. I am really hoping this is another nice horse for Henry Cecil to go to war with this season - perhaps even his 2010 Derby horse? :)

The 3.50 looks a very interesting race in terms of pedigrees, with relations to Ali-Royal/Sleepytime, Attraction, Vision Of Night, Zafeen, Galileo/Sea The Stars in the line up, and I will go with Attraction's Montjeu half sister Titivation to come out on top, though Alioonagh looks cracking e/w value from the Mat Salaman yard, albeit they aren't renowned for debut/maiden winners. However, she is a full sister to Oonagh McCool and a half sister to top-class trio Ali-Royal, Sleepytime and Taipan; also, three of her siblings, namely Curtain Time, Oonagh McCool and Winds Of March, all won on their 3yo debuts.

I will be with Mujdeya in the 4.25 at Newbury, and she was a massive eyecatcher when given a fairly poor ride on debut when fifth behind Principal Role at Yarmouth last October. She was simiarly positioned to the winner at halfway but Richard Hills elected to sit in behind runners rather than follow the winner through, then predictably found trouble in running before finishing well inside the final furlong. She is bred to come into her own over middle distances this season and should go well, though has been found a hot race to start back in, with Blast The Furnace and Tymora two highly regarded, well bred newcomers in opposition.

It looks a fascinating card at Newbury today, though very tricky as a betting proposition!

morning guys some good racing today.

I was taken with Rebel Soldier at Lingfield last time and will want to be with him today.

I would also keep an eye out on the market for It's Tough at Ayr. A few weeks ago the stable had a similar profile horse win a chase at Newcastle (no current form, regressive looking type), the market pushed the horse out in the morning and they came for it at lunch time.....the market move came via high street rather than on here which probably isn't surprising given the connections involved.

I wouldn't be surprised if the same happened today, the horse looked to be staying on late in the day last time and is now up in trip.

Need to go out now all the best today.

Mate hes better than that hes the nap of the weekend. Came to win the race he had been plotted for at Cheltenham only for a combination of very testing ground and the extra distance to get in his way. Serious recovery mission today imo.

Not been plotted for this Benjy, he was plotted to win the Matin Pipe race at the Festival. In a year they had managed to drop him 20lbs and were unlucky that the ground turned against them on the final day of the festival.

No just working tomorrow, isnt really that busy today so not much point in 3 of us working.
I normally go up and stay the Friday but not this year wish I was though as it will be a cracking weekend. Hows the drive for you to Ayr?

No sure if you are interested or not but Im starting a syndicate with Noel Wilson in the next week or so with a 2 year old filly for the flat season.

Will take about 3½ hours to get down so hopefully a few winners will make the journey worthwhile !!

Lucinda fancy Summer Soul in the last at Ayr today ? Had a few quid e/w on it at 20's. Will like the ground and goes well fresh.

Thanks for the offer, will get some more details from you tomorrow and have a think about it, thanks

Will be having plenty of bets today dependent on prices later but pin came down on these so far...

Bible Lord 3.25 Ayr looks too big at 20s
Shadow Dancer looks a cert for me in the opener so backed at 100/30, could travel all over this field just hope Jonjo's not easing him off after Cheltenham....

At Newbury can't see much to bet as not in the full flow of the flat yet but Satwa Gold looked a massive price in the 2m race, had a go e/w as he's certainly worth a go on turf over this trip and good man in the saddle....

Askhazar could be a cert, not sure Song Of Songs finishes races at cheltenham and the rest of the field looks weak especially without Bothy....good luck with the chaaaaarrrggee
