Lots of stats people were hinting that the weight rule might have to go up a few pound. Would look to be backing all the same but restricted to horses over 10-10 rather than under 11 stone.

Compressed handicap and 11-10 not 11-12 on his back will help him no end. He's pretty good at giving lumps to inferior horses (see two Hennessey wins) and he's an excellent jumper, who will have Ruby on board
Massive chance even under top weight imo

I'd love to see Denman there, primarily to keep DPI's weight down for a repeat.
I'd be a confident layer of Denman too. You meed a proper athletic type, imo, which he is not. As well as his allotted weight, he will have his huge body weight to propel over those fences.
Nor has he much chance of staying the trip, imo. He finished tired in the Gold Cup and was pretty leg-weary on the run in when he won his Gold Cup. He takes an awful lot out of himself in a race and will be 'out of petrol' long before the last fence.
According to his connections he's also developing a mind of his own and he could easily decide the Aintree fences are not for him.
All in all, a great value place lay for me.
