What beats Fame & Glory ? must be worth a lay at least based on fitness, stable form, trip

At Longchamp think Cutlass Bay looks short these comments would put me off ..
Cutlass Bay has not run for quite some time because he had a hairline fracture of a cannon bone, which kept him off the track for most of last season. This looks a nice starting point for his four-year-old campaign but he might be a bit rusty on his seasonal reappearance. He has some pretty useful form but hasn't raced for a long time."

The Bogberry was 2nd in this last year and at 14/1 looks a nice e/w bet with only 8 runners (& a suspect fav)

I like the look of Vocalised in the Gladness today. Thought he was a really decent horse in the early part of last season after winning the Greenham, althought dissapointed from then onwards. He's won 4 of his 5 starts over 7 furlongs too. Hopefully back to his best today fresh and should be ready to go first time out.

2 pts win Vocalised 4/1

gl today.

google chrome is great mate although still get a bit of hanging sometimes altho nowhere near as bad as ff

have notice something weird tho

do u use 'display "what if" option ?
Report Teddy Sheringham April 11, 2010 2:39 PM BST
not sure Gan Amhras will like the ground so will go for Raise your heart who ran some decent races at the back end of last season in soft ground including a 2nd in the irish cambridgeshire where the trip was possibly on the short side. he then followed up with 2 wins including a listed race. Should also have a fitness edge over a few of these. 1pt e/w 25/1 Dixie Music is prob a pacemaker so will have a saver just in case he slips this field.

Jack Absolute just won AGAIN around Limerick, eye off the ball today :|

Great week though :)

Excellent effort on your thread, btw - do ypou accept Paypal ?:| ;) I kept forgetting to post selections on there & the ones I did put on there were bombing out, became convinced it was a jinx so left it alone towards the end (Bluesea Cracker & Always Waining results suggest I might have been right!!!)

Will try to put EVERY bet on the flat thread - any decision on whether we can settle @ PMU prices on French Racing iyo ?:| Went back thru last season & couldn't believe the strike-rate/profit I had on French Racing (especuially at PMU prices) - gonna take that far more seriously this season
Report TD_Gunner April 11, 2010 5:44 PM BST
yep, different gravy plat B-)
Report platinni April 11, 2010 5:50 PM BST
i think thats a runner deep, pmu is fair and we use it so im all for it

Report Deep Impact April 11, 2010 6:00 PM BST
:^0 Ain't used BF for ages - usually back e/w so the place prices aren't worth it. Btw, you seemed to have a lot of 2nds on your thread that you didn't back e/w - can I ask, is that your policy usually ?:| Personally, I back everything from 9/4 (1/5 odds) & 2/1 (1/4 odds) or above each-way - hate giving anything back to the books

I know luck doesn't come into it really, just hard work - Cheers about the PMU
Report TD_Gunner April 11, 2010 6:03 PM BST
9/4 each way? seriously?

I don't remember the last e/w bet I had. :|
Report Horsesforcourses April 11, 2010 6:06 PM BST
I'm the same TD. If i'm confident it's a place Banker then will work out how much prepared to lose on 2nd or 3rd and calculate stakes accordingly.
Report Deep Impact April 11, 2010 6:10 PM BST
Interesting stuff lads

With 9/4 @ 1/5 odds get 72.5% of stake back if placed & with 2/1 @ 1/4 odds get 75% back - has made a huge difference to my yearly profit/loss totals
Report TD_Gunner April 11, 2010 6:11 PM BST
When the horse bolts in like you think, aren't you annoyed that you haven't had the lot on to win though ?
Report Deep Impact April 11, 2010 6:12 PM BST
No, it's about the long-term game for me - it's also a lot easier to sustain the losing streaks imo
Report TD_Gunner April 11, 2010 6:13 PM BST
Do you have a bank as such Deep? Or withdraw after winning each time?
Report Horsesforcourses April 11, 2010 6:13 PM BST
Personally no but then I never go win only (other than when the win price on here is significantly inflated compared to the bookies)
Report Deep Impact April 11, 2010 6:15 PM BST
Yes Gun I do have a bank - I withdraw any profit above that bank on a weekly basis
Report TD_Gunner April 11, 2010 6:20 PM BST
I'm the same, only really use BF for footy and golf bets.
Report Deep Impact April 11, 2010 6:24 PM BST
Tbh, have been much more disciplined over last few years - usually go 1pt e/w, sometimes 2pts e/w but v.rarely more than that, could never go 3-4pts win only like some lads on here do. May be dependent on people's financial situations

Whatever works for each individual, I suppose - catch ya laters B-)
