He is without question a better sportsman than the majority of winners over the past decade.
Karma should prevail and give him the award that he has deserved for many years. |

Not a chance I'm afraid - 6/1 is the most ridiculous price. There's plenty to happen in the next few months and the emotion of today will be long forgotten. Horse racing is a dot on the sporting horizon for most people

Steeplechasing 10 Apr 18:56 Horse racing is a dot on the sporting horizon for most people Cycling is hardly a sport for all? With a properly orchastrated campaign from the BHA, this could be a definite goer. England will do naff all in the world cup, Murray will double the number of slams he has already won. It has to be time for a proper sporting legend to be recognised or they may as well scrap the award. |

There are, of course, many good reasons to take up cycling - which is why five million Britons have done so. How many horse riders do you think there are? Of course many go racing, but it tends to be the same people all the time( bar the lager louts) Only 3% of the population regularly bet on horse racing and not that many of them will be aficionados likely to ring up and vote for McCoy. I agree that he deserves full recognition. He's a wonderful, dedicated sportsman, the toughest of the tough, courageous and skilful. But very few know about him and, unfortunately, even fewer care |
