After the greenham will either be favourite for the 2000 or the July Cup.

What do you guys know? :) Drifted to 8 now? Should I lay 8 Stake?
Report jamesp April 3, 2010 11:27 AM BST
I've already laid Canford Cliffs for the Guineas (some months ago). I'm now waiting for him to win the Greenham impressively before laying him again (at shorter prices) for the Guineas. Top class 6-7f colt, may stay a mile in Group 2/3 company later on, but not in the Guineas.
Report Charlton2005 April 3, 2010 11:39 AM BST
Thanks James
Report elisjohn April 3, 2010 12:09 PM BST

Report mythical prince April 3, 2010 3:45 PM BST
july cup horse. got a very low dosage index for a guineas winner.
Report sintonian April 3, 2010 3:47 PM BST
Could do what Art Conn did last year.
Report pipedreamer April 6, 2010 12:53 PM BST
he won at royal ascot at two,one winner out of the last forty something years has won the 2000,that was Henry the Nav.and Hannon aint O'Brien.
Attraction the only R.Ascot 2-y-old winner to win the 1000 since1971,
last Derby winning 2-y-old R.Ascot winner?,Mill Reef.!!!,i certainly wouldnt be hopeful!! LOL anyway.
Report thefarmer April 6, 2010 1:22 PM BST
The sprint division is so poor at the moment that Canford Cliffs could probably mop up the top sprint races much in the same way Oasis Dream did.
Report push April 7, 2010 5:45 PM BST
Talk Sport Radio , this morning Alan Brazil said he had spoke to R.Hannon junior yesterday and asked about CC ( as Brazil has 16-1 ) was told he did a brilliant piece of work this morning , but is showing so much speed we are not sure he will stay 1 mile. Shock, Horror !
Report redbag April 7, 2010 5:47 PM BST
xtension hoses up :)
Report elisjohn April 7, 2010 7:23 PM BST
pipedreamer, just out of curiosity didnt generous win at r ascot ,
Report geoff m April 7, 2010 7:25 PM BST
I thought he did Elis.
Report malheureusement April 7, 2010 7:37 PM BST
wasn't he second in the 1990 Coventry?
Report cryoftruth April 7, 2010 7:43 PM BST
If Generous did that he was a bit different as he was bred to stay 12 furlongs well and of course did just that, an underestimated Derby winner imo - beat the French Derby winner very well in Ireland after his Epsom romp and the King George. He was a brilliiant middle distance horse at his best. Shame he ran below form in the Arc.
Report geoff m April 7, 2010 8:18 PM BST
I reckon Dr Devious ran placed in the Coventry but somethin in back of mind says Generous won tho dont know whether it was coventry or Chesham.
Report geoff m April 7, 2010 8:25 PM BST
Racing as a two year old, Generous won three races and finished second in the Coventry Stakes at Ascot.
Report geoff m April 7, 2010 8:26 PM BST
apologies memory not what it was.
Report push April 7, 2010 9:10 PM BST
ROGib, was very unlucky in the Coventry at RA.
Report Prima Donna April 7, 2010 9:13 PM BST
Why was that then Push? The one colt unlucky in that Coventry was Firebreak 2nd because he jumped the road.
Report Prima Donna April 7, 2010 9:16 PM BST
^^^ he was beaten about a neck by Landseer.
Report push April 7, 2010 9:16 PM BST
Turtle Island won the Norfolk went on to win the Irish 2000G.
Niche won the Norfolk for Hannon went on to finish 2nd in the 1000G.
Landseer won the Coventry and was only just beaten in the French 2000G.
Report Prima Donna April 7, 2010 9:25 PM BST
No Push Landseer WON the French 2000!
Report push April 7, 2010 9:27 PM BST
Thought he did, it was the French trial for the Guineas in which he finished 3rd.
Report Mystic Wind April 7, 2010 11:15 PM BST
Chief Singer won the Coventry and finished 2nd in one of the best 2000 Gns of all time.
Report geoff m April 8, 2010 12:29 AM BST
didnt henrythenav win the coventry?
Report push April 8, 2010 6:05 PM BST
He did , but he had also won over 7f FTO, so staying 1 mile was less of an issue.
Report pipedreamer April 8, 2010 11:34 PM BST
Seyedatti won at the lesser Heath meeting o n the Sat,point being ,its a bit of an ask.
Report geoff m April 9, 2010 8:05 AM BST
Push his win FTO was totally irrelevant as to staying a mile tho as he was in a totally different class to the opposition.
Henry would have won in a canter from 5 f to any distance you like that day.
Therefore if the FTO race had only been 5f you would have had a doubt About him getting the mile?
Report push April 9, 2010 8:07 AM BST
Still had plenty of stamina in his pedigree, unlike CC.
