I'm planning to go to the Arc this year, however im on quite a tight budget!! Id like to fly into Le Bourget on the Saturday night, stay in a hotel close to the airport and then travel down to Longchamp Sunday morning before getting a flight home again Sunday night! Will this be possible? How difficult is it to get from Le Bourget to the course? Train? Taxi? Bus? Anyone any experience and can help me out? Thanks in advance.
dwm...your problem will be sunday eve. as its a madhouse rush out of the course . just to get to paris ....forget a taxi as the queues are bigger than the fare. if you can try and stay sun. eve if only on the outskirts of paris . having said all that ,the arc/paris is not good on a tight budget or tight timewise anyway.starve the kids, sell your body and take some readies .it will be worth it .

Someone put up a link last year where you can print off free admission tickets. I used them and they can save you 8 to 10 euros if your on a budget. My tip is to leave Longchamp straight after the Arc and that way the you wont be waiting long for a taxi. Get to a pub and watch the Tottenham Arsenal match.

Also looking into going this year. Will Eurostar be more expensive than usual that day? Also open to flying but would ideally like to get back home on the Sunday evening

The trains possibly will be more expensive if you really want to get home on the Sunday, but we went Fri-Mon last year, and it wasn't anymore expensive.
