earlycrow...seems you have your head so far up your rectum its nudging your tonsils, the guy asked a simple question about the state of the track, mind you it might be helpful to some that star wittness is better on a dry track...his won 3 group 1's rest of the field nil, but a wet track gives the locals a better then even chance.
Report lazza June 18, 2011 9:40 AM BST
You tell him Sooty ..He gets on the ozz forum and tries to hustle everyone ...Do you know how the track will be sooty ?..I know they have had some rain.
Report kingoath June 18, 2011 11:23 AM BST
He performed pretty well on Slow going first up last prep. Should beat these plodders.
Report knavesmire007 June 18, 2011 11:25 AM BST
Very much doubt it can win on this going.
It's another Aussie excuse waiting to happen.
Report sotac June 18, 2011 11:44 AM BST
The going is currently soft with more showers forecast for today.
Report earlycrow June 18, 2011 12:12 PM BST
Your right Sooty it was very rude of me, it was a very simple question from a very simple man. So Mr Lazza please except my apology and if I may answer your question, I would be expecting a heavy track if the rain falling at my place is any indication
Report hippie June 18, 2011 12:55 PM BST
sooty, you don't think the previous Jubilee Stakes winner lining up might be a group 1 winner?

lazza, the course drainage is state of the art since the course refurb in 2006.
Report educeee June 18, 2011 1:55 PM BST
Star Witness will beat this lot, hands down.

Don't be a mug and let your hatred for the superior aussie sprinter get in your way of making money.
Report TheFormMan June 18, 2011 3:16 PM BST
He is much better than this lot,a proper group 1 sprinter, was not even asked to come out of 3rd gear in the kings stand and this was clearly the one they wanted and his best trip, just a little worried about the ground that he probably will go on but is not ideal
Report RMB © June 18, 2011 3:39 PM BST
Was 4L behind Black Caviar on Good to Soft last year at Flemington. Got to be the one to beat.
Report TheFormMan June 18, 2011 3:48 PM BST
ran with huge credit on ground not suited, would have won on better

1.11 IR, closed stake but nothing more. Society Rock at 34.0, loves Ascot.

Weakened out of it over the last 1/2 furlong, i'd say the ground took it's toll but it was a very credible performance.
Report ForceMajeure June 18, 2011 5:44 PM BST
Where do these groundsmen live?........ i would like to send them something.Laugh
Report sootyfive June 19, 2011 2:46 AM BST
great effort by all horses, i agree if track had been better side of good star witness would have easily won...the race was run in a time of 1m 12 sec definately a heavy track on australian times. heavy tracks in australia are not called the same in europe. the australian jockey i felt went too early where as the 1st 2nd place getters waited that extra 1/2 furlong.

RMB...You state star witness was 4L's behind black caviar? Seriously watch it on Youtube star witness was like the rest of the field, killed off 2 furlongs out, Black caviar never out of 1st gear, freak of nature.
Report ForceMajeure June 19, 2011 3:51 AM BST
Well 2 2nd's in two races isn't a total disgrace for a 3rd rate sprinter fresh off the plane, poor Hinchinbrook wasted a plane ticket it appears.

I'm sure it has been noted by trainers over here that if you have a very good horse these races are worth targeting next year, as we have in years past with good results to match.

No point pretending that these two horses were in the same league as SYT or previous horses we have sent over to pillage races at Ascot.

A good effort.
Report zilzal1 June 19, 2011 10:55 AM BST
think him and Elzaam will fight out the finish of the july cup
Report earlycrow June 19, 2011 12:04 PM BST
Went there to win and didn't, waist of a trip and an embarrassment to Australia IMO
Report AdvantageAussie June 19, 2011 3:03 PM BST
I don't know about that, even with your feeble prizemoney, a 2nd last Tuesday and a 3rd yesterday must have at least paid for the trip.

Hinchinbrooks trainer on the other hand... but I don't feel too bad for Peter Moody, cause he has reasonably decent sort currently sunning herself in a paddock [;)]
