Raining all the time, shortening all the time. Is he being underestimated?

i made a **** up not taking the 25-1 last friday when i read charlton thought he was an unlikey runner , ok you can still get the 25s with ladbrokes but with dick turpins withdrawal today now you are looking at 1,2 only , still im not convinced about 1m for canford cliffs in softish ground and if the rain carries on he could be a threat to goldikova imo

His Sandown run was a prep for the Lockinge, so should be ready to roll tomorrow. A shame there is only 2 places but you never know.

Amazed Ascot didn't get more rain. Drove past there before noon yesterday and it was raining, and it kept on all day. More rain would have given Cityscape a great e/w chance. As it is, going will probably be good by post time.

Don't let me put you off if you fancy him... Shame if it is just two places though...

As to CC and staying 8f? Don't worry about that - he is entered in the Eclipse and Irish Champion over 10f... though that could just be the new owners blowing cash & covering bases, as is their won't!!
I have heard it said the stable say the horse is ready for 10f now, so it's more a case of will the softer ground dent his acceleration over 8f... or Goldie's??  She has been beaten on Soft ground before.

I suppose we'll never see Frankel v Canford Cliffs v Goldie? CC is off to stud end of the year I believe and Goldie's not entered in the Sussex... but Frankel and CC are!

Frankel's not in the Eclipse although I suppose he might be supplemented?

Some talk of him going there if he missed the SJP.

Cityscape looked ruddy dangerous at the one pole down the middle of the track... I was actually hollering for him to be second - had backed cc and goldie and was a winner erither way but Cityscape as 2nd would have boosted the placepot which I got for 80p but only made 20% profit on my stake  :O(

I was more impressed with Goldie actually... lovely framed filly... big fan of Peslier but that 2lb O/W may have just cost him the race...

If Frankel's turbo is pressed in the LAST furlong instead of the 1st (Guinneas) or 3rd (Today) he will walk all over either of them, however... should they meet

Very good this Cityscape . Should definitely find a Group 1 this season.

I would have thought there will be a few races on the continent for him, perhaps the Jacques Le Marois, although that can be quite a hot heat. Not had many races, could turn out to be very good imo.

Close, but no cigar.
