Muscle injury.............. story a bit fuzzy , but if sustained today must be every chance wont be 100% by saturday - although I'm no vet

The injury sounds fairly significant to me , its not like he's caught his leg and got a gash(surface level).
Connections are comparing it to a human spraining and ankle. If it was any other race I  think connections
would have declared it a non runner. Hope he turns up 100%.

Too slow, retire to stud and save HRH blushes.

I have worked for a trainer. The horse will be fine. They will hose the leg and ice pack it. A lot of scaremongering about nothing. Lump on Carlton House at the current 5-2. It's a gift. He will run away with the Derby.

Was it Dont Forget Me who had a bruised foot overnight stood in ice & hosed up in the Guineas following day?
Report adge June 1, 2011 10:07 AM BST
now 3/1 . when will be the best time to lump on ?
Report darrewwee June 1, 2011 11:13 AM BST
@stilemans

I seriously worried I have lumped on and not sure if i should start to try recouperate some of the losses. I backed it a t 6/4 i wanner start laying off at 2/1

Can you explain the injury.  would it affect the performance even if its not serious injury ?

How long would an injusy like take to heal

cheers in advance

unfortunately you will have to sit and hope he is 3's to lay at moment how could you bet a horse at 6/4 that has no stamina in his sires line recital wins the derby
Report adge June 1, 2011 12:41 PM BST
you jumped in on the lowest price it ever was and lose if a non runner

was always guaranteed to go bigger with the course boys on the day who , as yet , have no liabilities

lot of fuss over nothing.

Carlton House will run and hack up. Lot of hogwash being talked about his injury. He would be "with a run" with all the big firms if he was seriously doubtful. He has a sprained ankle which is being hosed and iced. The horse is sound and well. 80% chance he will run. Take the current 4-1 on here it's a gift.
Report stilemans June 1, 2011 7:14 PM BST
Don't Forget Me had his leg in ice on the morning of the 2,000 Guineas and won the race! Chill out you Carlton House backers. Sit back have a glass of wine and look forward to Sat! Hats off!

Don't forget me was a long time ago and I cann't thing of another horse who has. Horses don't recover from
injuries that quick ,though warm weather definightly helps. In america he'd run on a painkiller and be fine.
Some horses are prepared to run through  pain more than others, I'd suggest judging by his attitude he will
run through the pain.
