Race will come too soon for him. Can't have a once raced maiden winner favourite for the Derby in May
|
|

Be twiced raced by Epsom

if he were to win the dante, then it would be time to take him seriously. At the moment the price in wrong.
|
|
By:
The prices are a joke. There's no other word for it. The bookies are ruining the ante post market and suffocating as much potential value as they can.

I wasn't that impressed at newbury . If he wins the dante his price cann't contract too much ,if he gets beat
it could mushroom. i hope he gets slammed at York and Abdullah decides to let Frankel take his chance. Without frankel, it doesn't look like a good Derby. |

dont know how you can say that at this stage with a lot of trials still to run.

SEVILLE, as short as 6-1 for the Investec Derby, will not run in Sunday's Derrinstown Stud Derby Trail at Leopardstown.
Second to Casamento in the Racing Post Trophy on his last start, Seville did not feature among the seven declarations for the 1m2f Group 2 although he still holds an entry in the Abu Dhabi Irish 2,000 Guineas at the Curragh on May 21 as well as the Totesport Dante Stakes at York on Thursday. His trainer Aidan O'Brien, who has won the race eight times including with his Derby winners Galileo and High Chaparral, has left Recital, Memphis Tennessee and the first-time blinkered Regent Street in the race. The field is completed by Best Hello, Giant Step, Rich Tapestry and Zanughan, whose trainer John Oxx won the 2000 DerrinstownDerby Trial with subsequent Epsom hero Sinndar |

Anybody remember Nash House? Similar hype, got stuffed in the Dante (having said that, I'm aware that he has always had a massive reputation). I can see this one being saved for Ascot, as Cecil loves the Royal meeting and places it above most other big races. It won't take much for him to sway towards the King Edward.

Do i remember Nash house, just a little, i can still remember how i felt watching him hack up on debut at newbury at 4-9.....i was on for the derby unraced at 66-1 and after his debut win he was jolly, i recall henry cecil saying after watching him win he d win the derby. His nickname at PCH s yard was GOD, he was that good at home.
Dante day still gives me nightmares, drifted from something like 11-8 to 11-4....came there pulling a cart 2 out, hard on the bridle then with in 1 second it was over, found nothing and finished distressed ( like me ) never made the derby. I always wonder about that drift as it stunk, big mac was going nuts in the ring saying somethings wrong like he d lost a leg or something. came back in a small race at the backend and ran a shocker, think he then had a long time off and a year or 2 later ended up in hurdles in ireland where he made no impact. Such a shame as he looked stunning and must have been some machine early doors but clearly had problems and shame he ended up running down the field in the mud. Id love to know what happened to him, id have loved to have bought him if he ended up at some sale or another. |

Carlton House 4.76secs slower than Pekan Star win on Tues

Carlton House is a bonanza for the bookies as Derby favourite. Every small punter in the country will back the Queen's horse.

I told you!!! Carlton House was very good. I told you!!!!

could be a massive blessing for henry.
