Don't think the UK is quite as bad as the USA was back then but I get your point. Maybe the Royal Wedding will help
 The media don't miss a trick and tend to overhype horses. Sea the Stars was their last attempt on the flat but he was never going to crack it as he simply didn't have that Superstar appeal of greats like popular Sea Buscuit, Secretariat, Zenyatta, Nijinsky, Sea Bird II who all had the essential quality of a powerpacked finish that made people sit back and say WoW!!! Frankel certainly fits the bill and is potentially one of the all time greats. We all need hero's and we'll find out tomorrow if he's the one. |
