Sir Mark Prescott has growing cause for optimism that Hooray will run in the Qipco 1000 Guineas on May 1.
The front-running filly had reportedly struggled over the winter following a prolific juvenile campaign, but her trainer has seen positive signs. Prescott told the Daily Mail: "It depends how she gets through this week, but it is more likely that she will run now than it was two weeks ago. By Saturday, I should have a good idea. She was not eating well but she is doing better now, although still not as much as I would like." Hooray is a general 16-1 shot to claim the Newmarket Classic following victories in the Lowther, Sirenia and Cheveley Park Stakes. The form was also given a fillip when Rimth, runner-up in the Cheveley Park, easily claimed Saturday's Dubai Duty Free Stakes at Newbury. ATR - id imagine straight there. |
