Winning connections still not paid.

And several trainers looking to leave.

Unfortunately there may be one less track by end of November

Winning connections were told they would be payed at the end of this month, also said they werent that worried.  I think you are reading too much into this.

The GBGB are to make a decision on towcester on tuesday, to date the money to the derby winner remains unpaid, a number of towcester trainers are set to leave for other tracks and who can blame them.

That's from scene ,sounds like the wheels have fallen off

If winning connections were not worried they would not have mentioned they were still to be paid.

Richard Thomas (Towcester MD) might be seen as distancing himself from this when he said, "....there have been discussions between Mike [Davis, promoter] and the winning owner. Mike deals with all of those things and I don’t know the reasoning"

The MD is effectively saying, Nothing to do with me.

Which is unusual with financial affairs - especially for the tracks major final.

“We have been assured by Towcester that the money will be paid by the end of the month and we have conveyed this back to the trainer. This will be followed up by our regulatory team.”

Reflecting on the situation, Hennessy said yesterday: “We know the money will be settled and it’s not a big deal - it certainly won’t spoil what was a fantastic Derby for us all.

“Perhaps it would have been better to have been kept in the loop a bit earlier, but we’ve been told it will be sorted by the end of the month and that’s fine.

Not great news.

Calm down HP, they have been shuffling Trainers since the day they opened, rumours abound all over about Greyhound Racing, you dont need to be Mystic Meg to see the Sport is in dire straits.

Meanwhile on an upbeat note, what a good days racing at The Valley on Sunday, Welsh derby coming up shortly.

Glasgow,

Just sad to see the demise of the great sport.

Only mention Peter H moving as he is in the GBGB inner circle thanks to being part of the GBGB Board as Owner's Rep.

Mrs H is also a very astute business woman.

I suspect he hasn't just moved to be nearer home.

You're right about The Valley and good to see the Irish sending entering.
