It was 39C in my neck of the woods yesterday.
That's way beyond what's safe for racing to go ahead. |

just looked up on meteostat nearest station to kinsley...
2026-08-13 10 27.1 °C 2026-08-13 11 28.9 °C 2026-08-13 12 30.6 °C 2026-08-13 13 32.1 °C 2026-08-13 14 33 °C abandoned after 13:11 race so all within GBGB guidelines however I agree this is too hot to race imo if 30c & above is forecast during the meeting it should be called off before dogs even travel |

Remember when they used to Start meetings after 7 pm , We had racing Under lights ETC
Maybe when all the Betting shops that are Crowded with Dog Punters are closed ,we could put things back to where they should be could Even delay a Meeting by an Hour, or do we all have to be in bed by 11 pm , Making sure dogs are not Travelling in intense heat , Its all about the Climate Change I am Sure the GBGB will sort it all out Me I think the game is on its last legs and those running the show could not sort a W@nk in a Brothel , I maybe wrong Just a thought |
