That a dog can throw up on parade and still get put in the boxes? HTF has that been allowed to happen? As long as the books had enough runners to offer a tricast on the race…. Joke!

That was disgusting.  If this had happened at a Horse meet, it would be all over the news. SHAMEFUL.

19.37 Crayford – Tuesday 26th March 2024
Having seen the video clip of the greyhound appearing to vomit on parade, the greyhound should have been returned to the paddock to be assessed by the Veterinary Surgeon on duty. The welfare of the greyhounds running at our tracks is of paramount importance.
The reasons why the correct procedure was not followed are being investigated internally and we will take the necessary steps to ensure that the correct procedures are followed from now on. We will also be cooperating fully with the GBGB Investigation.
The greyhound was checked by the Veterinary Surgeon after the race in question and did not show any signs of illness. A urine sample was taken from the greyhound and sent for analysis.

What a lot people seem to be missing is that overfeeding is a traditional stopper. One trainer nearly lost their license after dogs vomited prior to trials. Yes, its a welfare issue, but its also a massive integrity issue. When Paul Illingworth was senior GBGB steward he would have been all over this. Now he's working for Entain, perhaps not so much.

kerry daly has been suspended with no runners since the incident and her telephone number has been removed from the crayford web page.....bollockings all round for me.....i had backed the dog in question in some reveres casts with molly and apart from the missed break did not run like it had been stopped but should never have run thats an absolute certainty.....

do not understand what is happening in the crayford racing office.....kerry daly runners on the card tonight then someone has realised she is suspended resulting in the nine dogs being removed with only two reserves used so cards where she was involved have been decimated......maybe they are under too much pressure or just fooking dopey.....

she has confirmed she has gone.....dont know if she went of her own accord or was asked to leave but it brings the matter to a close for the trainer now the track needs to make sure all the staff actually understand what is required in terms of integrity to make sure this or anything like it never happens again.....

last year i sent a email to RPGTV asking why love ratz was on the card as it looked like something was wrong with the dog.
they read it out.
i added that if the dog finished in the first three i would donate £50 to the RGT.
THE guest who worked in the crayford racimng office said, it always runs like that.
the dog finished last tailed off,
the dog has not raced at crayford since that day

it looked like it had gone lame a couple of races before and should have been off the card....the race starship mentioned confirmed what most people watching the races already knew.....its not an isolated incident either.....there are still a few on the card in the same situation..........
