I was losing the will to live as i read this, completely failing to take any of his gibberish in, until I read this bit,.....
"However, a dedicated channel allows those with varying levels of interest to remain engaged and also brings context to the racing whether that be by detailed pre- and post-race discussion or, just as crucially, allowing the many and very varied human participants to be recognised as characters in their own right".

Tina phoning in night after night supposedly being one of the engaging human participants whilst emails of any note at all were simply binned and not discussed.  The programme is no loss as far as I am concerned.

Lost any faith in the management of the show with two fundamental big off putting mistakes that kept me away for a start.
The inane drivel sent in by Tina and also using the worst presenter in the history of tv, TANYA.
How was it ever going to survive, also switching to the complete lottery of whether you were going to get a race off on time or at all by using the Boothby circus tracks all led to one thing, the end.
PGR tracks like Yarmouth and probably 3/4 nights a week would have kept it fresh and would still be here as they would have had an audience, typical clueless greed by those in charge of this game!
Report now wheres that switch!!! March 30, 2024 11:57 AM GMT
There is a Joni Mitchell song quite apt at this point. The show wasn’t perfect, people could have always used the mute button when didn’t like the presenters etc. What the show did do, was showcase the sport and show the positive side of it. The interviews/kennel visits etc and an ability to get owners interested who couldn’t get to tracks for various reasons.
Unfortunately when GTV produces its last show on Sunday I fear that’s the final nail for the sport. “Switchbet” offer the following.
Greyhound racing to survive beyond 2025 10/1
Greyhound racing to have ceased by 2025 1/12

Sad times, but predictable as soon as the farce that is PGR was formed.

First time I've looked in on this for about a year and there's Mr Blobby patting himself on the back.
Instant switch off.
