SAVANA ICE (Trap 2) - 18.29 Suffolk Downs

In a race that doesn't necessarily appear to have much early pace, it could be worth siding with SAVANA ICE who, despite having a few hard luck stories in-running of late, has solid claims based on adjusted times. In his last race, SAVANA ICE posted a TFSec of 4.59 which, if replicated today, would put him right at the front, or thereabouts, at the first bend. In the aforementioned race, SAVANA ICE suffered crowding at the first bend and was forced to check at the second, yet still posted a dominant TFTime of 24.44. It is also worth nothing that this pup has ran as quick as 24.06 (21st Dec) when granted a clear run - that being one of the best recent times any dog in this line up. Could be well worth a tasty bet if the odds are right.

FINBOROUGH FLYER (Trap 5) - 19:09 Monmore [NAP]

I might as well let the figures do all the talking as they speak for themselves where this pup's concerned. Having posted a sub TFSec of 4.40 on both of his last two races (4.37 and 4.39 respectively), we can fully expect FINBOROUGH FLYER to be a length or two up on his rivals come the first bend. Down in grade today, this dog really is a model of consistency when glancing through his adjusted times and will be extremely difficult to peg back today if getting loose on the bunny. Excluding his trial run at Romford three outings ago, on his last four runs at Monmore (480m), he has posted a TFTime of 28.42 on two occasions, with the quickest time being 28.34. If you delve a little further into those runs, you will find that he met trouble in-running in three of them and was running on at the finish in two. This looks like the standout opportunity for me across all of this evening's greyhound action. All aboard.

All thoughts welcome.
