It didn't affect the result so I suppose the argument that the race is okay is a fair one.

Not that I agree with it though having said that.

Somebody tell us what actually happened please.

The 2 dog got knocked over, ran around the infield and then jumped over the fence to join the race on the run in. It didn't interfere with anything and the winner, trap 3, was clear of the rest.

So, the decision that it didn't affect the outcome was correct in my opinion.

Thank you, slippy.  Absolutely ridiculous for someone to have to decide whether dogs jumping in at some stage in the race have affected the actual finish.

It was rather bizarre, I can't recall seeing that before on an Irish race and I had no idea either that it's open to interpretation as to the decision to give it the green light.I

Our rule of it's an immediate void is far more sensible I would have thought.

Absolutely better, slippy. Such a decision can't be left for others to decide whether or not the race was affected.

I once witnessed a race where the handicap scratch dog came out, nipped inside the next box fie yards away, and outside the next one three yards away, went on to win the race and the result was recognised and declared.  Never did find out why. NGRC track - 50 odd years ago.  The dog was a regular scratch winner at the track.

The 2 dog actually jumped on to the run in in the closing stages IN FRONT of the other dogs - how you could be certain that didn't affect the result I don't know. Still, as I say, the cynic in me says the 10 to 1 shot winning suits all the big boys, so I imagine that played a part. OUR commentator said it will DEFINITELY be void and then back-tracked and said it completely made sense. Just mental. Of course, if you're a paranoid punter like me you put it all down to GOD fu**ing with you. It could only happen on my biggest/safest (clearly not) bet of the day - I bet two dogs (both less than two to one) to win in the race. Idiot punter. But I've know for more than 40 years - only one person responsible in this cesspit. :)

Mysteriously as wonders has said race 9 video is not working unlike other races from the track.  I wonder why?

A dog running loose in the Middle could be classed as a Distraction ,Jumping on  IN FRONT of the other dogs, Is surely a Void race in anyone's Rule book 

Shocking decision to let the Result stand  ..Would love to see the race , Hardly ever watch the Channel these days ,Friday and Saturday mainly

That race video is now covered by The Official Secrets Act and cannot be showh for a 100 years.
