The sport is corrupt, giving cocaine and whatever to these supposed loved creatures. They should ban it.

All you greyhound owners who race do not care in the slightest about your hounds, you are a living lie.

I will never set foot on a greyhound track again.

If dog racing was "once great" it was a funny few years ago.
I and a few mates were regulars at Southend dogs before it closed, and would front up virtually every Thurday night in the 80s when we live in SARFEND. The stadium was huge even though 90% was **** or closed-off or in disprepair. Dog racing here is hopeless! Need to look at the Australian experience where dog racing is doing well! AUSTRALIAN FEATURES 8 runners not 6. None of this "rails, middle, wide seed" business. If a dog likes to "use a lot of the track" as commentators call it over there, then that is literally the luck of the draw. Fixed traps on the outer of the course, with a variety of distances instead of the stupidity of lifting the traps on and off the track. Bigger and wider tracks Inside lure with an arm, not this outside $hit with zig-zag tracks with the possibiity of interference (as I witnessed one time at Southend when an object was thrown onto the lure rail to stop a race.) This theory is mine, and is also what it is (with apoogies to the "A. Elk" sketch from Monty Python). |

The greyhound scene in this country is rancid beyond repair
When the money is down the greyhounds in this country are all of sudden running splits like they never done before and battling all the way to the line. Relentless bursts that isn’t normal. It’s a rancid corrupt sport |

9.52 Harlow (one of most questionable places around) - two trainers in race only - why would you believe it might be straight? - sad days - not that ever was straight :D

I’m done with the sport.
Half the tracks the winning post isn’t known (Yarmouth, Kingsley, Newcastle) they put it where they seem to be best off on the books. The split times to get track positions are misleading, when the money is down they improve their split time no end - releasing from the traps like scalded cats. Those with good split times then seem to come out sideways. There are more winning favs than I’d ever imagined there would be. Even industry favs aren’t favourites on here, plenty of 2nd favs are going off as favourites on here and sometimes even 3rd favs U price it up a race, u back a host of dogs in a race at the prices, but the winner constantly comes from the one u can’t get matched on because the price just continually gets smaller and then what was 5.0 to win which your trying to match at, goes right the way down to 3.4 and from trap by bend it’s 10L up and wins by 12L, while the rest are slow away, showing splits that are nearly 0.2 slower then Their average. To many depleted races, which just ruin the form-book because they’re then showing false form from having to much space!! I would say over 50% of winners on here have a largely positive graph before winning. It’s not a sport when there clearly is a knowing outcome. The grader must just be drawing from a hat as there is far to many wide margin winners and the well backed greyhounds even when everything is against them in the race, still seem to find a way of winning. There’s a rotten nature to this sport and I’m done with it |

By:
i bet very small but i would do the same now on the dogs because its bent

6 x 5 dog races at Crayford tomorrow already
![]() |
|
By:
awful night
racing all over the place at Crayford mess after mess first two bends |
|
By:
Towcester race track - must say it’s about 40 races in the last month at this track where there has been a wide margin winner that has been piled on in the market for around 70% of the traded amounts. Trap 1 just there the latest. All the money for it, had it won by bend 2. About 8L winner
|
|
By:
lot of them were derby round winners though werent they ?

By:
Wit hell at Harlow is at it again
Great paddy 10/11 out to 3/1 last - usually quick away, slow away and trailed in last of 4 beaten out of sight Active diva in the next - thousands pouring on. Dog breaks on terms, but then like Roman coco a few weeks back shows a relentlessness gallop to run down the leader, no break in speed piss up by 8L and was 20l clear 2 bends after the finishing line |

No 6 runner races at crayford today
Two four runner races |
|
By:
i suppose the james turner issue has contributed to this situation but it is certainly a line in the sand as to where things are heading....the rm has publicly stated that there are not enough dogs for the weekly race totals but the paymasters are not listening to those most educated to advise.....its always the clowns in positions they should not really hold that bring things to points of disaster which sometimes end with catastrophic consequences......just cut the races to eight or nine until things improve.....
|
|
By:
It not hard is it winja
Simple cut back on races Let it ease the pressure 4-5 dog races are not the way to go Standard 10 race card go from there see what happens at end of the year I don’t think it get back anywhere near numbers 10 race card with 6 runner good enough |
|
By:
8 race card at crayford tonight.....starts at 7pm ends at 9.04......shame is of those 8 races five are 5 dog while the other three are 4 dog.....4 reserves put up but if recent history is anything to go by should any of those runners pull out they wont be replaced....races are A10, A9, A8, A7, A6, A5, A4 and an S5.....
|
|
By:
Why don’t the clowns in charge get it
Scale back relentless program Cut back on meetings Get product back to 6 dog races on ten race cards ffs Killing the sport |
|
By:
I would feel cheated if I turn up at Crayford tonight
But there banking on Saturday night mob know no different |
|
By:
i suppose they will show the final as their unofficial ninth race at 9.15 and as thats run after the crayford card finishes the track bookmakers should be able to take bets on it if they wanted too......

Towcester held the Derby last night and yet they are putting on another 14 races this afternoon.
The 14 races (10 of which are two bend sprints) have a total of 65 greyhounds competing. If my maths are correct this is around 4.6 runners a race.. Words fail me.. |
|
By:
Not ONE 6 dog race on today’s 14 race Crayford card!

Delay at Towcester ...something not working....dogs back out of traps
Delay at Sittingbourne....something not working....dogs back out of traps Sunday afternoon in 2023 WTF ? |
