From the photos on various media platforms it looked busy enough with the restaurant full and patrons looking through the big glass windows onto the track, so very much like the grandstand at Wimbledon back in the day. It looked like 4 or 5 books standing, I couldn't make out their names however. A big galloping track which looked in very good order and I wish H.F. and co. every success in the future.

Mad dog, Paul Lawrence was at the opening day and posted on Twitter about how it went.
On average, he said there was €1,500 per race on the win pool with a 10% rake. He also said tote return for the win was 6 races out of 8 better than S.P. So...I asked him what percentage were the books betting to and he replied to me 128% - 132% I said a competitive betting ring should be able to do a lot better than that but he didn't reply to that one. |
