Not one to post this kinda stuff but one dog pulled out of each of the last few races to fook the forecast double and treble divis and multis on trap 1s as all bets go to SP. One which would have paid 5/1 returned 11/8. Short of chucking on at the 3rd, this is as blatant as it gets
Never thought i see the day you realised just how much of a stranglehold the books have over the sport these days. Agree it was a joke, affected the spreads as well

We need answers from Ladbrokes, why was Tom Levers allowed to withdraw his dogs, nine races in tithe meeting, was it the unfavourable results previous. If so then they should not be allowed to take bets on stadiums that they own. Today has confirmed what people have been saying for months, can’t back a dog on the earlies because they will find a way to f… the punters….disgusting behaviour, where are you Uk G/C?

Cannot believe that Levers has been able to pull off all of his dogs because he didn’t fancy the bias. Of course Ladbrokes would be all for it as the results earlier were very unfavourable for them. Where is the enquiry as this scenario allows them to do this in the future whenever it’s not going there way…..so much tripe talked on here and when one of the biggest frauds ever comes along , no one cares, what a sh it game this has turned into!

a trainer has made a unilateral decision with his dogs and must understand the consequences that may have either now or in the future when trainer/dog number balances are not so one sided.......I do not believe this action was at the behest of ladbrokes and i dont believe it will go unpunished in the future if not now.....i actually think tom levers is a good young trainer who has a bright future but he will need to learn the value of contracts or he will find life getting much tougher in the greyhound world......

Winja are you seriuous? Of course it was at the behest of both Lads and the spread firms, they control the game, they pay the contracts. One way to stop the practice would be to do away with bets revet¡rting to SP with a withdrawal etc. See how many dogs are withdrawn if there is no benefit to the books...

conspiracy theories seem to be the new way of thinking in the modern world......if that was true and was proven to be true the downside would be far....far... greater than the few quid it may have saved......i would imagine crayford were furious and as i said earlier would expect a form of punishment still to be levied at some stage......tom is a young trainer who has made a stupid decision and needs to learn from that.....

Winja, its not his decision to make..? He is a contracted trainer and those that pay the money pull the strings. If the going was felt unsafe or harmful to the wides the fact the other trainers didnt pull dogs off the cards suggests they, unlike a wet behind the ears TL wouldnt stand for what was being asked...

so you believe ladbrokes and associated bookmakers called the racing office at crayford and ordered them to go and see a trainer....in this instance tom levers....and instruct him to pull his remaining dogs off the card with the threat of dismissal from the track if he disobeys or reveals the conversation to any living soul.......then inform all the other trainers and their staff not to question tom or the paddock steward or mention what has happened........and you believe that is credible.....

If you can come up with a more plausible explanation then feel free, but you have summed it up very well. It beggars belief that billy bunters dont realise the hold the books have over the sport. I was at a function not too long ago with two employees of a spread firm who said their quotes quite often depend on what the groundsman tell them...

If you are suggesting TL just decided to pull the runners off because he didnt like the bias, then as the rest of the trainers supplied all their runners, one would expect TL to have his licence terminated immediately and not to be allowed it back.

i have already said i believe it was toms decision alone.....incorrectly in my opinion.....but as i have also said tracks cannot afford to be as direct as you suggest as there is a shortage of trainers who are able to supply bags tracks with the requisite numbers but it wont always be like that and RM's have long memories......

Agree with you there Winja, definitely a few taking advantage of the pressure on the racing offices at mo etc. Anyway, we cant all agree or it would be a pretty boring world. Hope your luck is good.

racing offices are not squeaky clean and the manipulation of going surfaces are diabolical but in this instance i just cant believe its so corrupt as to demand removal of runners in any form.....just glad to see the rain and the end of the golden highways on the rails....

the trap 1 multis were paying fortunes 4 odds on shots in trap 1 from the last 4 races, all reverting to SP trims a lot of damage
...so a big motive there for big corp to get involved
and finally on levers, if he's in breach of contract as you suggest he is, why has he still got runners on the card? answer: because he's done what his paymasters told him to do

I agree with Winja as to why still got runners, there is too much racing and the RM's need the dogs available. This is the state the game has got itself to, opens up all kinds of options for manipulation etc..

so you acknowledge they regularly manipulate going surfaces and we don't have this levers situation occurring often do we? tells you that either trainers aren't bothered about welfare...load of bollocks imo or actually they don't hold the trump card on these things
which is more likely in your opinion?

track preparation is down to the staff employed at the various stadium's which are controlled by the stadiums management.....maybe the word manipulation was the wrong way to describe the inconsistencies with going even on summer days although there have been instances where the tracks have tried to deal with going biases mid meeting when trap challenge and other bets were already struck by people who had anticipated the advantages which could be described as manipulation.......i think unless they do something outrageous.....at this moment in time trainers with large kennels do hold an advantage in negotiations or discussions over actions but it is a dangerous game using that advantage as i have already said racing offices have long memories......in my opinion track preparation sits with stadium teams and not dictated from company owners or promoters who just like us punters must want a level track as the starting point with racing managers boxing up the speed to provide the edges they require....

If that is the case then Tom Levers needs to come out and explain why he decided to f uck up every greyhound punter in the game on the best rails bias of the year. Who would want to employ a rat like him, wouldn't have withdrawn them if he had the last five red dogs would the little slimey sh it. Come on Levers, statement please as to why you think it's ok to pick and chose when you run, more fool Bad blokes for entertaining him...was it a big enough bung Tom? Believe it was read out on RPGTV last night, now need statements to safe guard it from not happening again when the poor old punters look to be in a good position....of course as long as the dictator ain't got no dogs on the latter half of the card drawn on what he perceives is the wrong side of the track.....i really can't believe he hasn't been disqualified from the game if this is true....Ladbrokes we need to know to re install confidence!

Starship. why would he not care? He has a contract worth a few quid im sure, which is pretty decent for someone who couldnt train ivy to grow up a wall. Without his contract where does he go exactly..?

Yes, why would he not care?......surely the Crayford contract is far better than a potential Boothby one, he must be on borrowed time? And to be a trainer that thinks he can decimate race cards when he is not happy with the draws, surely you've got to be decent at what you do to try that, Ladbrokes why is he still there, making you look silly!

It would seem a fair bet that he is still there because Laddys are caught in a bind. They are short of dogs and trainers I would imagine. This may be the wedge that busts the game - it might catch on. Who knows where else it might happen?!

no runners tonight....eight tomorrow including two in one race.....four on thursday....no runners on fridays card.....make your own opinion if thats by trainer request..........

i think tom saw the rain and said a few of his dont deal with the water too well, then saw it was going to be cloudy, apparently a few in the kennel dont like the gloomy conditions, he sensibly decided for them to stay in their kennels.
