As close I can get before the line it looks like 6 and as close after it's 3. All angle dependent but would want to see the print myself.
By:
Thanks for your thoughts, I think it's a disgrace prints are not readily made available (as is with horse racing) in this day and age
By:
Other thing I'll add is that for some reason, the line across the track is before the 'winning post' and what seems the camera for the photo and if this is where the result is, 3 has clearly won.
By:
Ah, that would make sense tbf

i use to be good in photos at crayford, but this year i have been wrong more times i am right.
if i had betted on today photo, 1/20 trap six 10/1 trap three and i would have not really wanted to lay trap six |
By:
replayed @ 1/4 speed stopped @ 42s on video where the gap is in the rails, slightly favour 3 with head down
By:
there were at least 2 abominations earlier in the year @ crayford this isn't another imo

Yeah, that's where I think the line should be wonders and agree. Am waiting for the mods to approve both stills.
By:
ive said it before and will say it again, if they cant put the print up straight away for all to see, races should be voided. What can possibly be the excuse for not doing so?
By:
is the camera at crayford the grey box about a yard short of the winning post sign?
By:
or the white box about half a yard the other side of the winng post sign?
By:

By:
I think the camera may be the black under the red lads winning post
By:
![]() This is more the proper line imo |
By:
so whats that boc where the gap in the rails is..? no wonder people cant fathom results at this place...
By:
box...
By:
what a joke this sport is - 3 possibilities - the white box, the white line and the Ladbrokes Dot - which is it?!!! Surely some feckr can answer that. :(

When the race finished, the freeze frame that was shown on BetFair Live video was the first image posted on this thread, hence why the commentator called the 6 dog the winner. utterly shambolic and disgraceful
By:
For most of my betting life I've bet on horse racing, only in more recent years have I taken a very strong interest and following to greyhound racing which I thoroughly enjoy (even more than the horses). When I see a farce such as this I wonder why I bother

the photo finish is the box 1 yard short of the lollipop
not the tape on the ground or the lollipop itself same in horse racing with the mown strip of grass it can be confusing for close finishes beverley had an absolute corker on ladies day this year when fav looked to have won but had been chinned by a rag just watched this crayford race back again 3 has dipped right on the line 6s head is up...result looks fine to me |
By:
no recent prints on crayford twitter page
By:
if it is indeed that box short of the lollypop then the first freeze put up is where the result is being called from. Looking at that, it is impossible to call 3 the winner, its a neck behind at least . The only plave its in front is the second freeze which is the box this side of the lollypop.
By:
play it back @ 1/4 speed & stop it on 42s when 3s head is down (where the gap in the shadow is, ie the line)
6s paw is outstretched & in front but its head is further back & also up on that still & before knowing the result I would slightly favour 3 |
By:
HGS 3.53pm...shadows indicate the line is a fraction further forward but not as far as the next frame
that's as near as you'll get with the technology made available to us |
By:
thoroughly unsatisfactory
By:
exactly - with tosay's tech, we COULD do MUCH better .... but does anyone care enough? .... doesn't seem so
By:
3 won that but they pick whoever they want in photos. all ****
