My usual bet on the Sportsbook is between £2-£5, but about an hour ago I had a friend round and I'd had a few drinks. We decided to go halves on a £50 bet on a dog at 85/40. My bet was limited to £29.50. What's going on? What sort of bookie can't lay £50 about an 85/40 shot?
The dog got beat so it worked out alright for us, but that's not the point.

...they are basically telling you to go away. They don't ban anyone any more, but if you look like you have a clue, they will get their bot to look at your request for a £100 bet and say "sorry sir, the maximum you are allowed is £1.62". Try that on a racecourse as a bookmaker if you are feeling suicidal. The previous poster has it about right, the late John Power must be turning in his grave.

Anyone gambling when drinking is making a mistake in my opinion and, as another poster suggested, why use Sportsbook at all when the Exchange is available?

Some people use Sportsbook because they bet many hours before the off when there are no markets so to speak on here. Bit of a throwback to the past I suppose but not something I could ever do.

if you are able to get a bet on the sportsbook there is massive value at times on dogs but obviously you wont last too long if you are sharp.
