Can anyone remember when Hills introduced the Pick A Loser bet at fixed odds of 14/1 and small deductions for NR's?
Was the first 8 races at any Bags meeting was a gift from the Gods didn't last long.

SAW wides at Romford and Crayford were straight in.

I can remember doing that bet at Hackney neetings Denzil, back in the Greyform days.

I was in Freds Casemoney, i asked the girl behind the counter and she said it's something to do with SIS ?

i remember the pick a loser  Denzil, i hated it, i would pick a rag in the first and it would miss all the trouble at the first bend and fly home, haha

when i left hackney dogs in the early 1970s,
in a r dennis they done a bet where u named a dog to finish in the frame,
there was eight races.....£25 for 10p
one day i have it up twice winning £50 for 20p
the following day the bet was no longer available

paddy power still do it in shops for small stakes
