casemoney, I can believe that. I used to take £10-15k in bets on this market, but in recent years it has been a struggle to get £3-4, even at lower margins. You're right re Wimbledon, somehow watching dogs running around a field in the middle of a horse race track doesn't carry the same appeal, particularly in daylight!

I don't think we can blame betfair on the demise of Greyhound Racing. They aint done a lot for it Sparrow What do they Sponsor ?
Was a time when they were paying very little for racing as well , Not sure if that has changed

I agree they haven't done much for Greyhound Racing case and I actually complained to them many years ago about not contributing to the levy on one of those consultation evenings they used to have on here. Even so the game needed no help from Betfair or anyone else while such as the GRA existed.

Agree Sparrow I remember them Sponsoring events about 10/15 year back , There was a big night at the Don , But I cant remember what it was .
as for the Levy they must have got more out of Dogs than any other Bookmaker ,you were quite right to complain , but all too late now as you say .
And your spot on the GRA sold the Heart of the game ,surprised there is any soul Left TBH , But some people are trying and still many of
us love the sport , How many more Years it can go on for is the Question ,in its current form I would say about a Decade, this carry on of firing
dogs round tracks for the Benefit of bookmakers must come to a halt at some stage ,Far too much Racing ,Racing of absolutely no meaning ,Many Dogs
track/bookie owned , it cannot carry on ,This sport needs to be about quality not Quantity ,that is the Only way it will see out another 20 years ..
on a positive Point Kevin seems to have Cracked it with OXO mass Crowds for the Speedway Hopefully will get the same for the Dogs in June ,Please try to limit the Meetings to Evenings A Couple afternoons if needed ,We may actually get a track that Resembles what was and is Good about our sport .

I read somewhere the last speedway meeting had 7000 spectators at £18 quid a pop for adults and £6 for juniors. That's absolutely incredible and hopefully bodes well for the cherries. Here's hoping anyway. Next time I go to Newbury I'll have to make it a double header with Oxford dogs afterwards.

Well I have now requested this 3 times...in every case the bot has "passed it on to the relevant team". Hasn't the addition of PP to the fold made a difference? (And not for the better)
