Can't say I am surprised. I used to go to Hove in the 80s where the average evening card would include at least 2 6 benders as well as a hurdle race (remember them?) and a sprinkling of 740m and 285m as well. Now its wall to wall sanitised 500m. Wonder why the punters have given up?

OP makes a really valid point here. Is there any point in the staying dams breeding any more? Hall Green, the pups did their 4 bend stuff knowing when the time come if needed, they could trial and step up in distance. They're all gone. 2 bend lottery these days. Fook knows if there is any marathons any more. Gonna cry again

They thought they were just killing tracks sceptical. They as good as killed the whole game. Unforgivable.

And don't forget the GRA getting rid of my local track Clapton in London which supplied four Derby winners in six years during the 1960s. We had the cream of the dogs in that era.
