Had a look at the first six (only) in the betting and find four railers, a middle and a wide.
Just my briefest of opinion/summing up. The heats will give us a guide on those higher in the betting. Macie, whatever it has achieved since/recently is 0/3 at Perry Barr. Lautaro looks like he has improved and is a nice P.B. winner in good time. Middle to Wide? Havana Class looks to be a sprinter “upped” and was a head behind Lautaro above. His early will surely be an asset when he draws the red jacket as he is likely to step out. Burnchurch Mick held on well to win the Winter Derby after outpacing Macie early. Two trials at P.B. Candy Man - in and out form but a great trial at P.B. when he bettered the track record. A wide. Zari Rosie – has shown bags of pace winning at Romford and is 1/1 at P.B. As usual draws for railers will be crucial. Can't ignore Candy Man's trial because I believe when a dog takes to a track we should take the hint and his wide status is a big plus it seems. G/l all. |

Very decent semi for Candy Man. There is a danger that a wall of dogs on the inside at the bend causes him a problem but the Chelms dog cuts across so who knows - he might just get around ok. 5/1 a/p looks short but come final night I think it will look decent.
I was impressed how well Zari plugged on over this trip after her early bump. If she can lead her semi I think she can win it. Havana can lead his semi then it is up to Lautaro to catch him. |
