A mate from Blackheath took me to Catford one night - never backed a winner all night.  Couldn't get near one.  Took us back to his local pub where there was an old fashioned sing song round an old piano. It was terrific.

I look at that photo and memories come flooding back at what was literally my second home for more years than I care to remember.
So then I started thinking that if, like Oxford, it was somehow miraculously to reopen and how would I feel about that?

I think I'd be of the opinion of let sleeping dogs lie (no pun intended!) as no matter what did transpire it would never ever be the same.

I've got the glory days in my head and that's good enough for me.
