Hi there,

Apologies for what maybe a silly question but can anyone tell me what the 'proxy' number means on the greyhound statistics page on timeform please?

I understand all the other columns, including the adjusted ratings, but just not the 'proxy' column.

Thanks,
Steve

Don't know mate, sry, but I looked at the Timeform analysis of the tracks themselves - two no longer operate and two have changed their standard distance, yet Timeform don't seem to know.  Not a great recommendation for their greyhound knowledge is it?

its their opinion of the handicap mark of the dog in question based on their opinion of the strength of the race............eye is if the run in the race being assessed is an eye catching run...
