This will get much bigger...it has to as no point in the greyhound product if you can't bet on it. There is some decent brains behind this project, many years after Coventry and the betting layers in a far worst state. Rip off industry sp and no on course layers we may as well have a strong TOTE, low deductions. If it gets strong with other countries it will be far better than Betfair.
This place has had it's day as well....90% clued up people with bots mixed in and few mugs left. Totepools have got a far greater element of mugs attached.....best news since removal of 9% tax imo if it happens!

Sounds very promising, the tote are investing in 4 new Cat 1's at Towcester straight after the Derby.

Will hopefully be a success. Bring more money into the game, added boon in the shrewd punters arsenal and the major firms would have to look at their model if they lost significant turnover.

you going to need people from around the world to play in these pools if you just rely on people from great britain it won't take off and plus take say punters from australia where greyhound racing is booming it will be like shopping in iceland for the 1 pound dinners or going to marks and spencer or waitrose trying not to be doom and gloom just being realistic. hope it takes off for any youngsters still coming into to the sport but what i have seen they just want cheap meals and 10 pints

for me i am nearly out of the game anyway now had the best ever last 4 mths of the year only because was still getting accounts but like water in the desert they have dried up and taking the right prices on betfair is not for me and to be honest even if they changed the rules the bookmakers must lay you a certain amount the early prices would stop. the early prices was and is still the best thing in greyhound racing IF you can get hold of accounts if you can not you hate them which is fair enough so be lucky all and hope it's not all doom and gloom for you

its a start, but like PH i cant get with towcester, dont like the layout or surface, not so keen on bingo opens

i'm sure this 'huge news' not really a shot in the arm for those graded trainers struggling in the game

its far from glorious viewing they have some serious work to do... nevertheless good luck to them or anyone having a crack

i will say something about coral i have slagged them off many times on here but someone tells me they are going to offer early prices on graded cards at tracks in shops i know crayford and romford plus a few more tracks you will get them the reason i been told they have some traders in place that just do certain tracks and they will trust their traders prices which is a small step in the right direction from them
By:

its a small step, but when you own the tractor you can determine what bets you might want to lay or not np

sure doc, but in which case backs up my point again, those surfaces and tractor as insurance and you only got one dart, if they become uncomfortable is a phone call away

could play and one outside or in, with opposite part of the track saver lol really fck them up

im going to do another youtube vid soon how i have played Crayford and ways looked to try and counter the tractor and switches they chuck in with style of dog and racer make ups

not rocket science just beating them at own gamesDevil

n1 wedge

game of patterns just fit the greyhounds to suit the ground in...

if everyone started to play this way more the bookies would have to change their model imo as messing the ground and bad surfaces only strengthens our hand

The Lads account I had closed following a 40 quid AP bet that lost

Apparently when they went through the account I was had been betting at 86% above the industry SP WTF ?

1 I don't even use oddschecker Pointless no accounts

2 80 % of the time not following ,Just what I favoured

3 Who's fault is it if they employ people that quite obviously should be in Tescos  holding a price gun .

Its foooking Disgraceful you would think I was betting in Grands ,they do not want to take bets  FFS , few multis Casts an odd single and ante post bets , these are not big Bets ffs ,if you are not on the roulette wheel or doing your brains at trumpton Park ,your custom is not needed

They are not bookmakers Firms run by salesmen that have destroyed the industry and will probably get their Come Uppance when no fooker
can get a bet on due to having no proof of funds , was Never a Problem when Igor and the team were pumping thousands into FOBTs they will get
what they Deserve sadly many of us being the Fall out , RANCID FILTH is all they are nothing less  ..

Team Bisto saying you can get this or that on ,you CANNOT they are talking shyte ..  Blatant Liars ,either that or involved in Back door action .

Roll over Pots , very hard to keep the Pot buyers out when its a  big Pot .

As doc says need foriegn money in pot as well ,Serious  UK punters wont be punting into any win

markets ,will not happen .. Not while BF is going  .. Great Idea hope it works ,didnt the tote

have the placepots and Jackpots ,they didn't last long , All be it dreadful take out

Case. Not sure I agree that serious punters would not play win market. It is all about the liquidity, if enough is being placed it will attract  larger players, all they need to know is that any large bet is not going to destroy the return. It does not take a fortune for dogs on some  races on Betfair to collapse in price. If the Tote can get enough money coming in from abroad then it seems likely to me there will be plenty of occasions when there will be value to be had with them compared to what is available on Betfair.
Regards...Steve

I agree Pompey, liquidity at an all time low on both greyhounds and horse markets. Try getting a grand on a dog here and you end up taking 4/5 about a 3/1 shot Laugh. The good old days have gone.. it’s a shame but perhaps a new model is needed.

I tend to agree. Imo p.p. av f#@t it with 2 an 4 quids.if summits evns best all firms n i dont fancy it n i stick a grand up at 11/8 within minutes i,m out the 3 boxes for 2 n 4 quid its a f kin disgrace. If betfair want to keep punters imo they need to stop this practice or remodel. If not n this tote thing takes of be less n less people on bet unfair.

Spot on private. I don’t understand why the bots are so vital to their business model.? Unless there really isn’t many punters about anymore..? All the other exchanges piggy back off the bots being able to nick the fractions which is a disgrace IMO. A price shouldn’t be available in the 3 boxes without a minimum of £25 being there or something similar.

Wish them well ,wont knock it as don't even know what the plan is ,would love big Jackos and Placepots ,the old placers were great while they lasted .
