Just a theory, would it be in their interest for ex bookies there to price up markets and take bets on the card? (maybe only the comp rather than the graded stuff)
probably all sorts of legal problems but if they know the dogs and lay a 130% book whats not to like a carpet max liability or similar? Feel like its a double edged sword to me, if the books have taken their bat and ball home then f them, but on the other edge youll drum up more interest if you can attract punters? What bout thinking out the the box? Like a tipping comp...2 diff comps...10 quid entry and 100 quid...you must have a bet every race in the heats per round...20% of takings retained by Tow TV? |

TOWCESTER has pushed back the heats of the Trc Health & Hygiene Blue Riband until Wednesday afternoon due to the continued poor weather forecast.
As a result, the semi-finals will also now be delayed a day until Sunday afternoon’s SIS fixture with the £7,500 final still on track be the staged on Saturday evening, February 6. The original first round meeting was frozen off on Saturday and it had been planned to restage the heats on Tuesday but Towcester spokesman Nathan Corden said: “The decision has been made to put it back another 24 hours as most of the country woke up to more snow and sub-zero temperature on Monday. “Travel could still prove difficult on Tuesday and the forecast for Wednesday is a lot better so it makes sense. “Everyone who purchased a stream for the abandoned meeting on Saturday night will be issued with a full refund this week and we have taken the decision to provide a stream free of charge for Wednesday afternoon's heats. “Customers will need to sign up for an account with Towcester TV in order to watch the free stream of the heats.” |
