Massive loss to Romford. Tbh he deserves a top job commentating on the horses as he has the voice and professionalism. As for the new camera angle...it makes the place look a tip and has cost the track so many regulars that refuse to be deceived....they won't listen though!

Nearly brought a tear to an old mans eye last night. 1 of the great comms ever. You had to be there. Massive crowd. Junior ( palace issue ) win in champion stakes. Only time he was in front was on the line. I was lucky to av worked with linda mullins in her pomp also paul youngs evry friday night was made all the more enjoyable with great comms by steve. Jesus used to av some winners there evry friday night for yrs. Happy retirement.

The redevelopment of the track has been a travesty and embarrassment regards to viewing. The opening night with the new camera position at low level and positioned at the first bend found that spectators were obstructing a clear view of the traps.

The remedial works to put an extra barrier to push back the spectators failed to realise that it is the useless camera position that is the problem.
