A  MESSAGE  TO RACING POST GREYHOUND  T/V  PLEASE !!! CHANGE THE RECORD.
Industry prices and  unacceptable  s/p overounds..whe know about  because  the studio has done the subject to death.
It's gone guys its expired it's a deceased  subject. The solutions offered by the R.P.G.panel,(possibly disingenuous),ranged from I don't know if there is an alternative. There is gentlemen its
called BETFAIR. The clues in the title. It's a polar opposite betting platform to those greedy bookie chappies.  Bookmakers s/p 3-1 Betfair s/p 5-1, my last dog winner. It's the difference between
Winning and losing. Michael Fortune one of the most knowledgeable greyhound pundits in the sport's contribution, was as follows "I am afraid I do not know much about the subject".( Possibly
disingenuous  ) THE REALITY. Racing Post T/V is heavily subsidised by bookmakers through channel advertising. The programme would simply not exist without their help. Yes I am aware
that Betfair also advertises, but the combined contributions of the bookmakers greatly outweighs that of Betfair. OBJECTIVITY.  A proverb. He who pays the piper calls the tune. My thesaurus
describes the meaning as follows. Said to emphasize that the person who is paying someone to do something can decide how it should be done. Viewers appreciate straightforwardness.
It in my view it would better that the studio say nothing on this subject, than reveal their apparent lack of objectivity.

Does anyone even bother to make a reference of the bookmaker SP now?

A complete and utter waste of space and time, copy and paste minus whatever percent, i agree, usually a farcical one.

The industry SPs are usually between 125% and 128% which is a lot better than tracks like Henlow, Pelaw Grange and Shawfield where betting with the on course layers was a non-starter due to the large overrounds.
However the fact that each dog's price is just a worse version of the Betfair price makes the industry prices extremely unsatisfactory and can't see many punters touching them with a barge pole. At last night's (superb) meeting at Hove there were 2 races where the top two dogs were 2/5F and 13/8 and 1/7F and 4/1. Although the overrounds of these races were reasonable I could never see Chas Miller et al pricing the top 2 dogs in a 6 dog race like that.

2/5 and 1/7....returned 125 and 126%
Wouldn't exactly call that reasonable.......it can never be reasonable as computer is set between 125 and 133. Horse racing is an average of 115% so why are the dog people being singled out and ripped off?

as a rule of thumb with horses they worked on 2% per runner for the 1st 10 runners & then 1% for each runner after that
so for a 6 horse race that's 112%
much higher turnover on horses though

They now have no knock outs...greedy people are marking there cards for a score in the mornings and they are privvy to the Betfair market as there perfect guide.....Wathamstow used to bet 115%.....Romford bags 121%....no excuse whatsoever to be betting at these figures and it will kill off what is left!

Agree with above, when betfair is doing it for you and nobody of quality can get on why not make it 118% its still more than enough at 3% a runner.

Id say in the long run by allowing people who punt every race to lose their money slower you are doing yourself a favour.

Early prices are horrific, 7/2 biggest price available

Will hill self service machines in some places won’t take more than £10 on a BAGS bet

What is the point
