Watched the zoom chat on youtube. Not much said in 30 minutes imo. Only interesting thing was the mooted november december start for derby. If its late november early december you will av a 2020 derby final in 2021. Ante post how does that work. Nuts

its happened a few times in horse racing ph
king george/welsh national being abandoned & being run in the january I believe a/p bets have stood if run at same course admittedly we are talking about a matter of a few weeks at most with the horses, and not several months |

I,d love for derby to be run. Its lookin difficult to fit in.if they sart as mark bird mooted late november early december final be run 2021. I will av money tied up for 16 months. Mad.

After watching the zoom programme again listening to mark bird. Somebody going into gbgb offices twice a week to pick up mail. Av they gone skint? Imo question has to be asked. As our good friend casemoney continuously points out. y r they in offices paying top dollar. Hopefully all will become clearer in coming days. Very worrying.
Maybe if gbgb do go tits up government could step in and take over. Get us run as the australian racing is run. Not run for bookmakers. |
By:
Agree with above.
Whats the point of top dollar offices when half or most of the tracks a dump. Someone other night said its a refreshing change watching Australia and there isnt 24 piles of tyres all the way round. Can i make a suggestion to tag the offices onto one of the tracks? |

Wimbledon was a rabbit warren, offices evry where. I,m sure they could run out of towcester quite easily if they ever license the gaff. Mind its north o watford so no chance.
By:
Without a Doubt Private was so much space at Wimbledon , Could have built a decent office thousands saved Monthly , But then they would not have the added bonus of pretending they are something important in the City
By:
The amount of Money that has gone west on the HEAD OFFICE is unfathomable , It has to be by far
the Biggest Payment each year that is shifted from the Fund ......AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED ASAP . As stated a 50,000 Loan was taken 3 year back just to pay the Deposit on the renewed lease . It Is quite clearly stated in their accounts .......... |
By:
And your Suggestion of Towcester spot on , Why do they even need a big office in this day and age with many able to work from home ??
By:
Evidently thats wots happening at moment working from home.
By:
Yes and carry on as is , Scandalous the money that has been wasted PH ....
We are returning to a different world mate , Delusions of Grandeur should no longer apply ... |
By:
problem is they are still paying rent
By:
Yes lads its unforgivable imo

feed a dog on 50p a day & these fkin koonts are renting offices in central london

Just watched the zoom broadcast from dave clark btwn english and austalian racing. Beggars the question y the f u c k do we bother. Our sport this side o the pond bin raped n pillaged for yrs and is betond repair imo. To say i was envious is an understatement. Until we adopt the australian model our sport will continue to die an ignaminious death. If i was perhaps 20 yrs younger i,d be throwing a few things in smal rucksack n heading over there tho it pains me to say that.

We are missing a few simple tricks over here in my opinion.
Ive loved the Aussie dogs. Offering long runs to the first bend. Offering a red and green light system with an efficient loading process (you know exactly whats going on) Offering fit dogs every race, they want the prize money on offer. A stadium clock and results board. Offering punters a deeper form guide that is also simplified with a NUMERIC SPEED MAP for people only wanting to cast a glance, is something we are missing. |
By:
Yes Private, having watched that from Australia it makes you want to cry!
As a comparison i would say they are Premiership and we really are Conference South. Will the clueless BGRB take and run with any positives that we have been shown as to how to do it properly........1000/1 YES........1.01 NO. Can someone that cares get hold of our embarrassment of a dwindling game and get it going in the right direction? As with the Coronavirus we were given a good form guide from those that had it before us and ignored it......same will happen with greyhound racing i presume....Mr Bird? Think only chance that it will go in the right direction is from Mr. Boothby so lets get behind his vision! |
By:
I concur go racing. Its triubling to me that towcester is not yet licensed.

Sure Bird will blame the virus

Just watched this, enjoy Dave Clarks stuff, an asset to the sport.
Interviewee very humble about what they have, and explained well, enjoyed that. Deep down he must be cringing at our 100 bob a race, no-one can get on, varying bias nonsense. |
