I dont know for certain as i,ve not asked the question. I think a lot will probably be charging a resting rate. How long thats sustainable i av no idea. Trainers derby lane america are recieving $2,400 dollars a week to cover food rent n staff wages.

I know 1 of my trainers has nearly 20 small business owners who own dogs. All of there businesses down the pan. They will never av another dog. Think that will apply to most kennels.

we will see what greyhound syndicates are all about now you got 10 or 12 in a syndicate and a few can't play it will all add up an the head of the syndicate will have to pull the money up not good if you got loads of dogs

I’m a senior citizen I own 3.5 dogs and a 5% share in a syndicate dog.I also own shares in horses 5% in Never In Paris ,10% in Purple Knight both with Karl Burk that’s £450 a month 1% of Marie’s Diamond 2.5% of Raymond Tusk that’s about £50 a month both these horses with Richard Hannon.Prince Of Eagles just been sold to race in America I owned 2.5% of him.I had a very successful Cheltenham probably enough to pay for 12 months bills ,none of my dogs have raced yet apart from my 50% share in a pup in Ireland who has won 2 from 2 and won £650 ,as Tesco says every little helps.the 3 .5 pups cost just over 13 k to buy so as you can imagine I’m keen to have them racing ( haven’t even trialled yet ) .i reckon I’ve about 18 months ability to pay including taking a bit of my monthly pension after that I’m afraid I’m dead in the water and will have to leave both dogs and horses. This is not intentended to be a gloom and doom story merely a fact.Im dying slowly from Motor Neurone Desease so in the great scheme of things paying bills pails into insignificance.I pay my horse bills a year up front on the day they are due and my dog bills on the day I receive the.All trainers are struggling ,many of them have took over dogs that owners have walked away from, they relied on the run money to pay the feed bill,so it’s very important to pay in full and on time.A great many people have died and many are bankrupt or facing financial ruin.So no way will I not pay my way.Lets all stay strong and safe
.This virous will end or slow down one day untill then keep safe, and I’ll meet you on a dog track ( probably Nottingham ) one day
