Any ideas as to why 20-50 people at a greyhound track who keep 2 metres apart like they are in Aus pose any kind of a risk of spreading the virus? The situation is rightfully frightening and serious.. however it would appear as though the mass panic that has swept through racing etc was done without any scientific reasoning behind it. Far more people travelling to Canary Wharf each day on the tubes for jobs that don’t affect animal welfare. People still working in call centres and far more likely to spread the virus indoors with air conditioning etc than would happen at the tracks....

Id be more worried about this:

The winner of Aussie races get a same amount for winning 1 race as the UK distributes for the full card, that is tragic and laughable

That would probably be due in some part to the head of Australian greyhound racing not having their offices in the most expensive part of Canberra for the past few years.....

Yes, it is a breath of fresh air to see the Australian approach to this.
They have had far more than us to deal with in recent times, but still they soldier on.
Another dozen horse race meeting again tomorrow.
Just seem to be a more optimistic nation, and good health to them.

I went to oz for 3 months about 10 years ago.
Fantastic prize money and the TAB system is why it works there were 2 ontrack books who took a bit but everyone just mainly bet on TAB.
Its not all good tracks lacked a lot of atmosphere and Would liken it to towcester.
Be intersting to know what betfair contribute to get feet under the table bet it was a better than they get away with here

Enjoying the aus racing not as much carnage at bends - good prize money well organised tracks look safe, unsure trap allocation doesnt seem to be rail middle wides.

Switch spot on regarding the Disgusting amount of Rent and Tax paid for the City Abode ,I really cannot understand how this has been allowed to

go on for so long , I am beginning to question who the rent is going to ??

If and when we get out of this situation ,that is one of the First things that needs addressing  , The saved funds distributed monthly

to struggling kennels,Offices available for at least 20 % of what is being paid ,The questions needs to be asked as to why they are not working

from home , Why do they need these offices ,at all ?? A couple of years back there was 50 K , YES 50 k deposit taken from the fund to renew the

lease :

Not sure what was going on their why would they need to pay again ,It is absolutely scandalous that the Mob are allowed

to fleece the fund in this way , they are not BANKERS ,I would like to advise Mr Bird and his Friends  we will be returning to a different

world , The sport will be on its Knees , THESE OFFICES NEED TO GO A.S.A.P..   I will be starting a Campaign among my Greyhound friends

and a Petition , GET THEM OUT ..... Just to make them aware of the way people feel ..

Two words cover it ... Fooking Disgraceful ...

Most of it free through live video with a reliable live stream.

Also mainly available on WH Live player (same tracks as here i believe)

I havent tried the 3rd option but it was noted (a bit like horses on sportinglife) if you keep away from the result purposefully, if you go on the website of the individual state jurisdictions, they upload the vids for free after the race.

Ive just realised if you meant how do you bet into the pools, im sorry everything ive said is a waste of time.
